Purpose of the Position:

The Network Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible to design, install, maintain and support network infrastructure (WLAN, LAN), including servers, Storage Data centre, Cloud systems, Bandwithand telecommunications systems. The role includes the managing of the Disaster Recovery Centre for optimal performance, security and business continuity.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications

Post-Matric Diploma in Information Technology/Systems,
The following certifications/accreditation:
CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)
Windows 2010 or higher,
Network Administration
VLAN and Firewalls.
Experience

Five (5) years IT Operations Management experience in Managing Network Infrastructure
Duties and Responsibilities
Internal Processes

(Infrastructure Management)

Develop and Implement Network Infrastructure Master Plan including Data Recovery Plan.
Design, install, maintain and support network infrastructure (WLAN, LAN)
Ensure that the network is operational and provides optimal performance, security and reliability.
Manage the Primary data center and the DR centre for business continuity
Plan and manage IT infrastructure projects with budget and timelines
Support the Digital transformation strategy and provide innovative solutions for deployment.
Maintain network infrastructure hardware and related software, analyse problems and monitor networks, load updates to ensure security and accessibility (procurement and decommissioning of hardware).
Report on Network Infrastructure Performance (WLAN and LAN) in accordance to the IT Governance Framework.
Draft, implement and maintain relevant Policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure optimal functioning of the network Infrastructure in TIA.
Develop and implement standardized Network Infrastructure maintenance processes and procedures that will enable the implementation and management of a consolidated and integrated Infrastructure platform.
Ensure employee compliance in TIA to all the IT policies and regulatory legislation.
Respond to internal and external audit findings timeously.
Comply to all TIA systems when executing network Infrastructure tasks (Performance management, HR, Finance, Stakeholder Information, FMS.
Provide input to the IT risk register.
Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment in Network Infrastructure resources.
Implement and manage the disaster recovery plan for TIA.
Procurement and Decommissioning of Hardware.
Stakeholder Relationship

Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders in order to deliver Network Infrastructure services in accordance to the expectations of the organisation.
Maintain external relationships with service providers and suppliers, and external consultants on specific projects in order to ensure outsourced network Infrastructure service meet the required service standards.
Financial Perspective

Provide input to the IT Operations budget with a focus on Network and Infrastructure requirements of the Monitor and track performance against the approved budget and address any anomalies with regards to Network Infrastructure budget.
Verify and collate invoices for the service providers used by IT for Network Infrastructure establishment and maintenance.
Coordinate Network Infrastructure requirements across the organisation for budget purposes.
Manage all ICT Infrastructure Assets in conjunction with Finance.

KPA’s are understood and achieved as agreed upon in the Performance agreement.
Review performance against agreed performance standards.
Live the values and culture of TIA.
Identify and implement development opportunities to ensure continuous improvement of work effectiveness and efficiency.
Departmental Information systems and tools are optimally utilized to execute core tasks.

To provide legal services, including support and advice to all TIA Business Units and, in respect of TIA projects/programmes, to ensure that TIA is protected by sound legal contracts.

Minimum Requirements
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Law (e.g. LLB, B Proc, B Iuris or related)
Admission as an Attorney or Advocate
Five (5) years’ post admission experience
Two (2) years’ experience in a commercial environment and/or prior exposure to the technology innovation environment.
Litigation experience.
Knowledge of Laws, legislation and compliance requirements for the various operational aspects of TIA;
Drafting various agreements;
Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act No. 1 of 1999;
Knowledge of local and international legal trends applicable to TIA.

Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Perspective

Contribute towards saving for TIA by limiting operational costs, also complying with the National Treasury Cost Containment Measures (NTCM).
Stakeholder Management

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and maintain healthy relationships.
Collaborate with all TIA Business Units by providing legal advice on a variety of matters across the entire business.
Represent the Head: Legal Services on various committees, as may be required.
Internal Processes

Drafting a variety of commercial legal agreements, including funding agreements, sponsorship agreements, service level agreements, etc.
Provide expert legal advice and guidance on a wide range of legal matters, including contracts, compliance and regulatory issues.
Conduct legal research and analysis to anticipate and identify potential legal risks and implications associated with activities, initiatives and decisions.
Support TIA business units, as part of a deal team by participating in legal due diligence processes with regard to funding applications and innovation programme concepts.
Ad hoc – any other related legal work allocated by Line Manager, as and when required.
Maintain strict adherence to workflows, standard operating procedures and processes for contract drafting.
Maintain strict adherence to all applicable legislation.

Ensure quality assurance in respect of all written documents, including contracts, reports, memoranda, etc.
Ensure information systems and tools are optimally utilised to execute tasks.

At least four (4) years’ post admission experience.
Two (2) years’ experience in an intellectual property environment and/or prior exposure to the technology innovation environment.
Experience in Local and International Intellectual Property trends in relevant industries.
Litigation experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Perspective

Participate in establishing cooperative customer relationships with stakeholders internally and externally.
Provide quality services that meets corporate programme and project needs of TIA.
Represent the Head: Legal Services on various committees, as may be required.
Internal Processes

Perform Intellectual Property (IP) due diligence on TIA’s projects and programs and issue report on outcomes.
Draft and/or review contracts for TIA operations, TIA projects and TIA programs, also focusing IP clauses.
Draft legal opinions.
Provide input in the formulation of legal policies, guidelines, frameworks and business processes.
Provide input in the review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the Legal Services BU.
Capture all legal information relating to TIA operations on the applicable systems.
Produce workflow management status reports, as and when required.
Assist with quality assurance of work produced by the Legal Advisors.
Identify and report on potential legal risks.
Identify and implement development opportunities to ensure continuous improvement of work effectiveness and efficiency.
Identify root causes of delays in the processes and implement measures to address the delays.
Provide support and assistance to other Legal Advisors to achieve their milestones.
Governance and Compliance

Participate in the internal and external audit exercise and resolution of all audit matters in the Business Unit.
Ensure compliance with all TIA’s policies, frameworks, guidelines and systems (performance management, HR, finance, Stakeholder information, fund management, reporting, etc).
Proactively identify and address internal and external risks to protect the organisation.
Learning and Growth

Mentor other Legal Advisors to transfer knowledge and skill.
Attend work-related, self-development courses including training (both external and internal) seminars, conferences, webinars and workshops.
