Digital Commercial Content Coordinator

Description

The Digital Commercial Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, executing, and optimizing digital advertising and branded content campaigns, ensuring alignment with client objectives, editorial standards, and platform requirements, while supporting sales, driving revenue opportunities, and enhancing audience engagement. In direct collaboration with sales, client services, ad operations, and editorial/commercial content teams. 

Campaign Coordination & Delivery

Implement and execute commercial campaigns as per sold campaigns. 

Ensure campaigns are implemented as sold as well as provide feedback on how to optimise campaigns. 

Liaise with internal teams to ensure timely delivery as well as correct execution of campaigns. 

Monitor campaign performance and make sure goals and objectives are met. 

Provide timely feedback to adjust campaigns as and when needed. 

Report on campaign performance during and after campaigns. 

Provide commercial team with commercial opportunities. 

Liaise with editorial team to seek commercial opportunities. 

Ensure campaigns adhere to channel policies. 

Ensure campaigns adhere to applicable legislation, advertising regulations and partner policies. 

Manage campaign timelines and schedules. 

Manage commercial asset libraries.

Client & Sales Support

Liaise and act as a day-to-day contact with applicable internal and external stakeholders for campaigns. 

Assist the commercial sales team with pre-sales materials, media kits, proposals, and pitch decks. 

Track inventory availability and booking details across platforms. 

Manage inventory accordingly. 

Reporting & Analytics

Compile and deliver campaign performance reports using applicable tools. 

Provide insight into CTR, impressions, engagement, conversions, etc. 

Flag underperformance and suggest optimizations during live campaigns. 

Ensure commercial decks are up to date. 

Content and Platforms

Ensure campaigns are 100% executed as per sold campaigns. 

Develop at least 2 big ideas per month for sponsorship opportunity. 

Monitor, advise and manage digital inventory to ensure 100% sell out rate with the appropriate mix of programmatic and direct advertising. 

Respond to client and sales team enquires about campaigns, inclusive of idea generation and campaign development. 

Develop, monitor, and implement a commercial calendar to keep track of campaigns. 

Ensure campaigns are being executed as should. 

Adjust campaigns where need to achieve desired results. 

Create proactive sales ideas and campaigns in collaboration with the editorial team. 

Develop seasonal calendars identifying campaigns for clients. 

Develop with input from editorial and data and insights packages for the sales team, highlighting key metrics and opportunities.  

Adapt packages to specific campaign requests. 

Ensure campaigns are designed, developed, and executed according to specific platform requirements. 

Ensure 100% adherence and compliance with legislation, policies, style guides and other applicable requirements on eNCA digital and third-party platforms.

Audience

Monitor audience behavior and feedback on campaigns to identify threats and opportunities. 

Understand audience behavior and expectations to propose best suited campaigns for clients. 

Develop and drive campaigns which is lead by audience in the efforts to grow audience. 

Ensure client campaigns with audience communication is appropriately and timeously attended to. 

Stakeholder Relationships

Respond to client enquiries within 24 hours. 

Respond to internal team enquiries within 24 hours. 

Attend and respond to all relevant communication from internal and external stakeholders. 

Provide internal stakeholder feedback on upcoming campaigns in advance – at least 2 working days. 

Provide internal stakeholders daily feedback on on-going campaigns. 

Provide campaign reports within 7 days of campaign completion 

Build, support and maintain interpersonal and team relationships to ensure stable working environment and achievement of team objectives. 

Seek partner opportunities to expand content offering. 

Requirements

Qualifications 

National Senior Certificate is Essential

​​National Diploma​ in Journalism is Essential

Bachelors Degree in Journalism is Recommended

Experience

3 years in Journalism, Media, or Digital Newsroom and/or related field is Essential

1 year Supervisory experience in Journalism, Media, or Digital Newsroom and/or related field is Recommended

Drivers Licence is Recommended

Language Proficiency

English – Advanced

Technology Proficiency

Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager, Google AdSense Crown Tangle, Social Media monitor and publishing tools, social media platforms business tools, audio and video editing and/or production / copy production.

Inventory Movement 

  • Verifying dispatched and received assets against the assets on the Picking List.
  • Ensuring that gear is barcoded.
  • Completing asset check lists and handing over the picked assets to the client during gear check.
  • Ensuring that gear being received is identified and logged on the picking list.

Dispatch & Receiving

  • Ensuring that gear being dispatched is in good working order.
  • Ensuring that picking lists and any other documentation are completed and signed off after the gear check is completed.
  • Assisting with loading gear in vehicles, when and if required.
  • Ensuring that when gear is received it is in good working order and that the dispatched kits are complete as per the dispatch check sheets.
  • Ensuring that all return documents are to be signed-off by client / client’s representative upon Despatch and Return of Gear and equipment.
  • Escalating issues with returned equipment to the relevant Departments and/or Supervisors.
  • Notifying Supervisor of any damages or discrepancies and/or missing equipment once gear is received.
  • Following the established missing and damages procedures, when and if required.

Reporting to Manager: Sales, the key performance areas include but are not limited to:

Sales and Revenue Generation 

  1. Meeting and/or exceeding monthly and annual sales targets.
  2. Prospecting, negotiating, and closing new business opportunities.
  3. Securing and managing annual client commitments and group discounts.
  4. Ensuring correct revenue and billing contracts are processed timeously.

Client Liaison

  1. Managing client onboarding and associated processes.
