Job Description

PURPOSE OF ROLE

As an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC and EPCm) company, we are highly tender-driven and constantly estimating costs for competitive bid submissions. The Estimator provides critical support to our proposal function by estimating engineering, supply, construction, and associated costs, performing budget estimates, and assisting with the selection of appropriate procurement strategies for subcontractors and suppliers.

This role involves complete project lifecycle engagement from tender inception to award, ensuring accurate cost modelling and estimation that drives our competitive positioning in the market. You will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimate reports through comprehensive information gathering, metrics analysis, and risk assessments.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Estimation Development

  • Produce estimates and pricing schedules for tender submissions cross-referenced with ERP System (IFF), WBS and Activity Schedules
  • Plan and manage estimating tasks and associated activities in compliance with company procedures
  • Review commercial requirements, scope of work, site information, and study reports from Client Tender documents
  • Prepare bills of material from Material Take-Off (MTO) for market pricing
  • Coordinate and assess discipline engineering, procurement, and planning inputs during estimate development
  • Perform project cost forecasts, cash flows, and escalation calculations using industry indices

PURPOSE OF ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QC Inspector to join our Industrial Division team. The QC Inspector will ensure adherence to Quality Requirements and promote Quality awareness and education throughout our organization. Junior Civil & Structural Engineer

Job Description

PURPOSE OF ROLE

The Junior Civil & Structural Engineer is a 100% technical role responsible for providing engineering inputs and support across the full project lifecycle — from tenders and proposals through to design, implementation, and handover. The successful candidate will produce professional, compliant, and quality engineering outputs that meet client requirements, applicable codes and standards, and Lesedi’s internal engineering processes, all within allocated hours and budget.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Tenders and Proposals

  • Support the preparation of complete and accurate tender and proposal submissions by reviewing and clarifying User Requirement Specifications (URS), contributing to concept development and feasibility checks, compiling technical specifications, developing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), providing input to project schedules, and producing technical write-ups — all to deadline and in a technically competitive manner.

Design and Design Reviews

  • Assist with basic and detailed design development across the full project lifecycle. This includes inputs during the Definition Phase (concept development, URS Freeze), the Design Phase (addressing internal and external review comments, obtaining AFD and AFC Freeze), the Implementation Phase (technical support during installation and test and commissioning), and the Handover Phase (as-built documentation, punch list resolution, lessons learnt). All designs must be technically compliant, cost-effective, procurable, and constructible.

Design Integration

  • Interface with other engineering disciplines to ensure an integrated design is delivered and participate actively in Integrated Design Reviews.

Site Engineering, Commissioning and Handover

  • Support the installation team by resolving technical queries, conducting site inspections, and managing design changes.
  • Act as commissioning engineer when required — compiling commissioning procedures, performing commissioning activities, and recording commissioning data.
  • Support project handover and close-out of all engineering deliverables.

Departmental and Company Processes
