Gijima is seeking a senior Solution Architect – Security to define, evolve, and govern our cyber security services portfolio as part of our  strategy. This role acts as the architectural authority for enterprise and cloud security offerings, shaping commercially viable solutions aligned to market demand and strategic growth objectives. You will work closely with Sales, Delivery, and partner ecosystems to position, design, and win complex cyber security deals, ensuring Gijima’s security offerings remain competitive, scalable, and differentiated in the market.

PURPOSE:

Gijima Security delivers integrated cyber security solutions and managed services across enterprise, cloud and digital environments. As part of the Gijima strategy, the Security Solution Architect – Portfolio & Strategy is responsible for defining, evolving and governing Gijima’s cyber security services portfolio.

The role shapes security offerings aligned to market demand, vendor capability and strategic growth objectives. It supports go-to-market activities through solution positioning, client engagement, proposal development and strategic bid support.

This role acts as the architectural authority for cyber security offerings, ensuring commercial viability, technical integrity and competitive differentiation across the security value chain.
 
FORMAL EDUCATION:

  • Grade 12
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering or comparable qualification.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Azure/AWS Security, or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in cyber security solution architecture, portfolio development or senior pre-sales architecture.
  • Proven experience defining and commercializing cyber security service offerings across enterprise and cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in processing complex proposals (RFI, RFQ, RFP) in the role of Security Solution Architect or equivalent authority.
  • Excellent technical Skills to create complex Security-Solutions based on standard and non-standard – Services and to integrate these Solutions into global ICT-Designs.
  • Strong Knowledge to integrate technology partners and vendors into the security solution design.
  • Keen sense of current security standards and trends.
  • Overview over the current conditions and competitors in the ICT Security Services market.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong understanding of pricing models, margin structures and service packaging.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as cooperation and teamwork.
  • Strong documentation and presentation skills.
  • A passion for continual expansion of knowledge in the cyber security sector.
  • Excellent knowledge in creating complex and technology overlapping ICT-Solutions.
  • Working knowledge of relevant frameworks and standards including ISO 2700x, NIST, CIS, POPIA and related regulatory requirements.
  • Experience spanning Cloud & Zero Trust, AI and Data Security, Platform Security, Cyber Resilience and Governance and Regulatory requirements.

 
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and evolve Gijima’s cyber security services portfolio in alignment with Gijima strategic objectives.
  • Develop standardised, scalable and commercially viable service offerings.
  • Supporting Sales to meet and exceed the financial and strategic sales targets in the country/region.
  • Central interface between Bid Management, Solution Sales and internal/external delivery units for complex security projects.
  • Technical support for Sales during the acquisition phase.
  • Integration of technology partners / vendors into the security solution design.
  • Align the solution design in complex projects with involved stakeholders within Gijima and external partners.
  • Act as architectural authority for complex security bids and major deals.
  • Design Authority for solutions according to approved solution and service descriptions.
  • Crafting competitive solution options and optimizing these with the OEMs and partners.
  • Technical steering of Engineering, Operation and Consulting in the deal team.
  • Stream lead for security topics in complex mixed deals (Big and Major Deal Support) for costing and design of security solutions.
  • Support smooth handover to Delivery for the realization phase.
  • Work with partners to understand and promote reselling relating to security portfolio elements.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in the sales team and Gijima Security community for knowledge sharing and collective solution development.
