Provide strategic and technical leadership for the acquisition, management, interpretation and integration of geochemical data across the Ivanhoe Group of Companies. Emphasis is placed on strata-bound, sediment-hosted copper systems, where subtle geochemical signatures and basin-scale processes are critical to exploration success. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with geoscience teams to ensure the extraction of high-value, relevant geochemical insights from both exploration and operational datasets, applying best practices in line with Ivanhoe’s organizational and corporate governance standards. The primary objective of this role is to enhance Ivanhoe’s capability to discover tier-one ore bodies using geochemistry workflows, particularly in areas under sand cover.
Requirements:
- BSc Honours Geology(NQF level 7)
- MSc in Geochemistry
- At least 8 years in geochemistry environment, with minimum of 3 years in exploration role
- Experience in the full workflow of survey acquisition from design, contractor adjudication, acquisition management, QAQC, data review, analysis and interpretation
- Experience of developing and mentoring geology teams in geochemical approaches
- Sedimentary geochemistry approaches
- Experience with a systems approach to Mineral Exploration
- Experience working in a collaborative team of geoscientists.
Minimum advanced skills and knowledge in:
- Proficiency in geochemistry/geological software and tools, with analytical skills sufficient to analyse complex data sets.
- Database Management (acQuire) of geochemistry data
- Advanced ioGAS skills

Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory and Stock Control
- Manage the Control all Stock arrivals and dispatches at all Port and transit Warehouses.

- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all stock movements in the Companies Software system.
- Monitor and maintain stock accuracy, including:
- Receipt confirmations (GRAs)
- Retirement of stock on the system
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and variances.

Transshipment Warehouses
- Oversee the Loading order for cargo departing from Transit Warehouses.

- Identify inefficiencies in warehouse operations and implement improvements.
- Confirm that all cargo is correctly documented and matched against dispatch instructions prior to departure.
Tracking and monitoring of all Vehicles
- Monitor and track all vehicles transporting cargo between Loading Point, transit warehouses till point of delivery as Port Warehouse.
- Follow up proactively on delayed vehicles and investigate deviations from standard transit times.
- Close off tracking on the Software system, once confirmed receipted into Port warehouse.
- Ensure all vehicle tracking data is accurately captured and updated in the system.
- Close off tracking activities once stock is confirmed received at destination warehouses according to process.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- On time reporting of all Stock Levels, including Stock in Receiving and dispatch Holding areas.
- Analyse all data on the company’s Inhouse Software system for accuracy.
- Ensure warehouses record all stock received against the correct Buyer.
- Support the optimization and continuous improvement of the in-house system.

To implement, monitor, coordinate and control the maintenance, repair and refurbishment of the conveyor belt system. The incumbent supervises artisans and the scope of this role includes ensuring the continued operation of the conveyor belt system for the benefit of mining operations.
You will have the following:

KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Specialized Artisan, High Voltage (HV)( Surface Engineering Department)
The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It’s a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometers west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometers west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

Maintenance and operation on electrical equipment from 11kV up to 220kV . Electrical circuit breakers , Overhead lines and electrical generator sets. Operation of the Power management system
You will have the following:
• Qualified Trade tested Electrician
• Must have a Medium Voltage training certificate
• Must have completed relevant safety and risk assessment training and courses
• Must have at least 8 years’ experience as a post qualified trade tested Electrician in a electrical substation
• Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Knowledge of French, Swahili, and Mandarin will be considered highly advantageous.
Role Profile Knowledge
- Electrical substations
- Understanding to perform protection settings on relays.
- The ability to switch isolate and declare electrical equipment safe.
- The ability to locate and repair cable and overhead line faults.
- The ability to read and understand complex electrical drawings.
- To permanent extended shifts while on site.
- Permanent on standby when required while on site.
- Advanced knowledge on electronic control systems.
- Knowledge to maintain operate and repair generating plants.
- Understanding of different roles (fitter, rigger, boilermaker) and how they work together
Technical Skills
- Background knowledge on substation maintenance and repairs
- Previous experience on working at heights on overhead lines
- Previous experience on generator plants.
