Information Technology (IT) Teacher (Grade 8 – 12)
Uplands is an Anglican, co-educational, innovative independent school located on an extensive estate in White River, close to the Kruger National Park. We are committed to providing quality education to day- and boarding pupils ranging from Grade 0000 to 12.
Uplands is a member of the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa (ISASA) and the Anglican Board of Education of South Africa (ABESA) and offers examinations set by the Independent Examination Board (IEB).
Uplands College seeks to appoint a passionate IT Teacher, whose strengths will lie in good verbal and written communication as well as being an energetic, analytical and results-driven teacher.
The successful applicant will:
• Possess suitable professional qualifications and be SACE registered.
• Ideally have proven IEB experience.
• Embrace innovative trends in the IT field and be passionate about sharing this knowledge.
• Be skilled in delivering engaging lessons.
• Skilled in a variety of programming languages, including Java.
• Ideally have experience of teaching with Raspberry Pi or Arduino systems and have a passion for growing robotics in the junior grades.
• Be comfortable working with computer hardware, software, networking and information delivery systems.
• Be willing to participate fully in the extra-curricular programme and all school activities.
• Be committed to continued self-development.
Commencement date: 01 January 2027 or sooner, if available
