Purpose Statement

Experience

We’re building a new capability. Our Client Engagement team is looking for an experienced Product Manager to design and scale financial education features across our digital channels.

You’ll sit at the intersection of technology, data and operations building tools that help our clients make better money decisions. Your focus is the app, WhatsApp and other client-facing platforms. You’ll lead a small team, work closely with our financial education team and hand off new features to operations for broader rollout.

What you’ll do

  • Build and prototype new financial education features across digital channels
  • Work with platform and channel teams to deploy solutions on the app and WhatsApp
  • Translate business objectives into product roadmaps and functional specifications
  • Guide a team that includes a Business Analyst and a Data Engineer
  • Use data and metrics to test assumptions and track what’s working
  • Engage technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams
  • Hand over new capabilities to operations for integration and scale

Where you’ll work

We’re based in Stellenbosch. This role works closely with the financial education team (hybrid), so being part of that team in person matters.

What you bring

You need:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (Honours preferred)
  • At least 8 years’ management experience in senior-level product development or as a product manager/owner
  • 5+ years’ experience managing, developing and delivering a product
  • Hands-on experience building features on digital channels
  • Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Career experience that includes time in one or more technical roles
  • Agile product ownership and methodology knowledge
  • A data-driven approach with strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • The ability to lead and manage multi-functional teams
  • A clear criminal and credit record
