Senior Logistics Controller

Our client in the Industrial and Construction Equipment industry is currently looking  for a Senior Logistics Controller, in Edenvale, Johannesburg.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage warehouse deliveries, coordinate with operational staff, select, bundle, and organize products, and prepare multiple orders efficiently throughout the working day.
  • MOA submission to Head Office/Logistics/Goscor Finance.
  • Allocation of stock orders, purchasing of Forex, and creating machine records on ERP.
  • Raising sales invoices for certain regions, receiving stock in ERP, and updating information on records.
  • GRN for new sales equipment and processing of creditors in line with company parameters/Ensure the correct location of the MHE at the Durban branch & on Autoline/Submit relevant paperwork to HO.
  • Create CRM records on Autoline for all new & existing customers.
  • Co-ordinate the monthly delivery schedule and the weekly forecast.
  • Rollback bookings for all new equipment, demos, and sales loans, rigging and rail age & cartage between branches, and containers from PORT.
  • Place accessory orders for all local accessories required (batteries, chargers, training, FMX, attachments, transport, etc.) receive creditor invoices/process creditor invoices.
  • Clear items off the G07 / G08 weekly and provide feedback to management.
  • ETA & stock reports to the Sales team weekly
  • Weekly meetings with workshops/service departments relating to deliveries.
  • Internal workshop order and applicable links on Autoline for PDI to workshops/service department.
  • Ensure Autoline/CRM records are captured and updated.
  • Stock takes as and when required by management to assist (monthly)
  • Rate of exchange provided to Sales for them to compile their costing sheets.
  • Assist Sales & Logistics Admin Manager with any/all her duties as and when required should she not be available (invoicing/reports) etc.

Requirements:

  • Matric and relevant Supply Chain Logistics qualification.
  • Have Import and Export Experience.
  • Must have basic accounting and costing knowledge.
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Autoline)
  • Forklift & Warehouse experience.
  • Autoline & VSB module
  • Strong oral, written & reporting skills.
  • Customer liaison skills & service excellence driven.

Remuneration:

  • Up to R50 000 per month.

Logistics Coordinator – Johannesburg South

Our client in the Fuel Services industry is currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator, in Johannesburg.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate all incoming and outgoing fuel deliveries and manage the full transportation cycle.
  • Arrange all transportation requirements and organize staff according to requirements.
  • Manage all machinery equipment on site, ensure repairs or services are booked in time and the full operation is consistently running.
  • Acting as the liaison with all clients for all queries, demands and feedback.
  • Provide administrative support to the office for all daily operations.
  • Continuously review costs and implement cost reducing methods wherever necessary.
  • Facilitate all client deliveries to ensure demands are on schedule with no delay.
  • Managing the inventory stock take, ensuring supplies are ordered where needed and inventory never runs low.

Logistics Specialist: Bulk & Corridors

Our client in the Logistics industry is currently looking for a Logistics Specialist, in Johannesburg.

Responsibilities:

  • Defining operating model solutions, implementation plans and models to ensure successful identification and implementation of Bulk & Corridor (B&C) strategic initiatives.
  • Responsible for identifying and driving implementation of strategic growth initiatives within the Bulk & Corridor sub-capability in conjunction with Bulk & Corridor leadership, and relevant Logistics stakeholders and support functions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams as well as external stakeholders such as regulatory bodies, local, regional or national authorities, transportation and infrastructure organizations, freight carriers/companies and clients, to ensure project success.
  • Develop, manage and monitor the implementation of the B&C strategic initiatives, inclusive of the project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, risk mitigation initiatives and resource requirements as well as report on project status, progress, and financial performance.
  • Drive environmental responsibility and compliance with safety regulations, with the aim to troubleshoot and resolve project-related issues as they arise and continuously evaluate completed projects, highlight the lessons learnt, and share recommendations for process improvement.
  • Analyse industry and competitor trends with the aim to utilise data to inform the business and operating model design and continuous improvement aligned with client requirements and B&C strategy, within Logistics SSA.
  • Leverage relevant resources to assist with development of costing models and assumptions for existing and new projects with the aim to drive cost efficiency and support the Bulk & Corridor growth targets.
  • Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Post graduate Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
  • 8 – 10 years’ experience in the Logistics environment, preferably with focus on Bulk & Corridors.
  • Strong knowledge of bulk logistics regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Strategic Thinking – Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic vision for the company is crucial. This includes long-term planning and goal setting.

Logistics and Shipping Manager

Our client in the Commodity Trading industry is currently looking for a Logistics and Shipping Manager, in Fourways.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy and project manage all initiatives related to Logistics.
  • Design and own end-to-end the Logistics unit costs strategy to meet unit economics targets.
  • Manage the end-to-end (deliveries and returns) lead times in line with defined SLAs.
  • Manage 3PL service providers in line with agreed SLAs, KPIs and costs.
  • Manage the logistics network, processes and teams; and expand service offerings, improve own fleet management practices and cost of operation.
  • Manage the Market-place hubs and teams to meet agreed SLA targets.
  • Optimise and lead key transformations in the Logistics supply-chain.
  • Manage the talent pool within the Logistics department and build a strong leadership team.

  • Handle claims with insurance companies if any shipment problems happen to occur.
  • Provide efficient delivery logistics information through data management.
  • Compute international fees for each shipment and keep track of shipment payments.
  • Adhere to specified standards, policies, practices and procedures as they pertain to the completion of import documentation, carrier and route assignments, and tracking of shipments; and communicate with suppliers and logistics companies in respect to the package’s progress.
  • Take personal responsibility for the cleanliness and appearance of the assigned workspace.
  • Submit a weekly goods and transit report to management.
  • Ensure that the customers goods are delivered using the correct mode of transport.

Requirements:

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Imports and Exports Management.
  • Supply Chain/Logistics Qualification or Clearing and Forwarding Certificate.

Warehousing & Logistics Manager

Our client is looking for Warehousing & Logistics Managers. One incumbent will be based in Cape Town and the other in East London. These positions report into the Group Manager Operations and will be responsible for the warehousing and distribution of finished goods, including transport management of finished goods between all plants and warehouses.  The objective is to ensure that the company deliver the right product to the right branch at the right time to ensure that we meet customer requirements.

Logistics Coordinator – Johannesburg

Logistics Coordinator
Mission

  • To support the logistics manager in ensuring that all logistics service providers deliver levels of service stipulated in their respective contracts.
  • To ensure that logistics service providers apply their respective rates within the boundaries specified in the 3PL contracts.
  • Update and distribute to internal customers logistics costs versus PA and provide appropriate analysis of logistics costs and propose solutions to reduce or keep logistics costs under control.
  • Manage appropriate RFQ’s/RFI’s and sourcing of logistics related services and product under the Logistics Manager’s guidance.
  • Draft & implement logistics related contracts under the Logistics Manager’s guidance.
  • To ensure that all related logistics costs are booked properly in the financial system.
  • To ensure that all logistics service providers are paid in accordance with their respective contracts.

Duties

  • Ensure that invoices from service providers are checked to ensure that the rate stipulated in the contract has been applied.
  • Ensure that invoices are checked to ensure that the correct quantity has been stipulated.
