The Purpose

The Technology & Innovation Manager is responsible for implementing technological advances across all business units, that will assist and guide operational efficiencies ensuring financial feasibility, optimal productivity is met through the use of technology within operations.

Key Responsibilities:

●      Establish IT operating standards, creating efficiencies, and ensuring security is maintained

●      Ensure optimal changes to business processes, systems, technology and guide the adoption of IT modernization throughout the business

●      Analyze and make technology innovation recommendations that unpack short-, medium- and long-term innovation goals and imperatives

●      Apply a well-structured IT project management plan to support retail stores, internal and external company employees and platforms

●      Identify potential risks and develop specific plans and teams to address and/ or mitigate concerns

●      Develop a set of targeted and actionable IT change management objectives, which includes a communication plan and adoption/migration plan.

●      Create and manage measurement systems to track utilization, adoption, proficiency, and success of IT changes.

●      Support and understand the implementation plans of each business leader to ensure cohesion with IT operations

●      Evaluate IT infrastructure in terms of risk to the business and establish controls to mitigate loss

Qualifications and Experience:

●      A completed grade 12 and a degree or diploma in information technology, computer science or related field

●      A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a IT management and/ similar role

●      A valid South African driver’s license
