Procurement Officer

Our client in the logistics industry based in Alberton is looking for a Procurement Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle general and monthly procurement.
  • Gathering quotes, negotiate with the suppliers, preparing purchase orders, releasing payments with the co-ordination with the finance team from them.
  • Coordinating with supplier & stores regarding the delivery of the goods/services, generation of receipt of goods/services and the quality delivered.
  • Verifying the stamps and signatures for confirmation of delivery.
  • Keeping in track all the order placed to suppliers on 30 days and COD.
  • Requesting periodic statements from the customer for accounts reconciliation.
  • Negotiating with suppliers for better settlement discounts.
  • Preparing monthly reports for the procurement made during the month and total cost saving of the month.

Requirements:

  • Matric.
  • Procurement, Admin/Related qualification.
  • ISO Knowledge.
  • 2 – 3 years.

Remuneration:

  • R15¬†000 CTC per month.
