DHL Global Forwarding Zimbabwe has an opening for a Financial Controller where you will implement controlling plans and processes for financial or non-financial (e.g. ESG) planning, analysis and management advising the management team in line with business objectives, Group standard principles and regulations. In this Financial Controller position

• You will implement Controlling objectives, plans and processes for a specific business area(s) of small/ medium scale complexity.
• You will deliver Controlling projects and activities to provide financial risk and opportunity analysis of operations, investment reviews and control.
• You will conduct analysis of complex data and prepare forecasts, reports and recommendations to provide information for management decision making.
• You will provide accurate and timely financial analysis, performance related reporting and relevant financial and / or non-financial information to management.
• You will implement Controlling and Budgeting policies, procedures, and methods for reporting, forecasting, and preparing planning information.
• You will execute policies related to financial area, budgets, and general costs for preparation of statements necessary for budget control.
• You will co-ordinate cost allocation and profitability analysis in relevant systems.
• You will prepare and submit monthly reporting and financial presentations to management and coordinate with countries and accounting for the same.
• You will act as financial advisor and provide advice on regulatory, tax and financial planning decisions, coordinating and consolidating annual budgets, potential measures to improve profitability, etc.
• You will support business owners in preparation and analysis of business cases.
• You will analyze issues and suggest enhancements in existing Controlling processes, systems, techniques and methods to enhance transparency and efficiency, e.g. through digitalization and automation.
• You will where applicable (e.g. for ESG Controlling), administer building up reporting processes, collection of data and definition of KPIs.
• You will guide business managers to better interpret financial information and draw conclusions.
• You will convince other subject matter experts to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
• You may cooperate with and coordinate 3rd parties e.g. external service providers.
• You will build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with DHL managers.
• You will understand customer and key stakeholders interests and concerns and advise direct reports, customers, and key stakeholders.
• You will provide technical guidance to line managers and employees.
• You will be an individual contributor who may manage two or fewer employees.
• You may direct the work of other lower-level professionals or manage processes and programs.
• You will coach, review and delegate work to lower-level professionals.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
• 6 years’ experiences or more
