The incumbent in this role is responsible for providing an integrated safety support function to ensure compliance to legislation, company policies, procedures and standards in line with the Mine Health and Safety Act.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting inspections as per legal and operational requirements.
  • Reporting and investigating safety related incidents.
  • Assisting with ICAM accident investigations.
  • Providing safety related training and induction as per operational requirements.
  • Facilitating and conducting health and safety audits.
  • Promoting safety in the operation.

 Minimum Qualifications

  • A relevant degree (Safety Management/ Mining / Engineering).

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum 75% completion of the Graduate Trainee Programme OR Minimum 2 Years relevant experience in a mining environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
  • Pivot and Share Point Network Systems knowledge.
  • MS Office Proficiency.
