A vacancy exists for a Billing Clerk, based at Life Peglerae Hospital, reporting to the Unit Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively managing the financial risk of the unit by managing billing, Theatre administrative functions and managing the Theatre Bookings platform.Critical Outputs

  • Achieve optimal system utilisation on Impilo regarding the preference cards and trolleys
  • Create new preference cards as needed, edit, update existing preference cards, and load preference cards for the next day’s theatre list
  • Load cards onto system for emergency cases
  • Daily capturing of theatre events and billing checks for all expensive stock uses
  • Be a super user to assist with the Multi touch screen issues and trouble shooting
  • Communicate changes on stock to theatre team and update preference cards
  • Capturing of billing on Impilo
  • Effective management of Preference Cards and Templates (Surgical and Anaesthetic)
  • Effectively monitor Impilo Dashboard and action errors
  • Manual capturing of billing on Impilo (stock and equipment)
  • Effective capturing of procedure and items required for the electronic theatre register and case management
  • Achieve optimal system utilisation
  • Effective Case management communication
  • Management of stock variance reports in collaboration with the Unit Manager
  • Achieving the internal DSO Targets as per PS messaging and billing cycle targets for the current financial year
  • Managing Administrative tasks
  • Actively manage Theatre bed bookings platform

Requirements

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • At least 2 years healthcare theatre experience
  • Experience in billing (knowledge of IMEDS)
  • Knowledge and understanding of SAP System
  • Understanding of private hospital industry and practices
  • Computer proficiency
  • Knowledge of Theatre environment will be an added advantage
