Job Purpose | To provide administration support services to various strategic processes and initiatives within the unit such as a risk management, Health and safety Management, performance management, skills development, talent management and customer services management. |
Key Responsibility Areas | • Co-ordinates risk management in the Unit by Capturing all risks into CURA risk register. • Co-ordinates the Units emergency preparedness by chairing and ensuring that emergency preparedness meetings are held. • Coordinates the unit’s skills development initiatives by monitoring the implementation of the WSP. • Monitoring that performance agreements are concluded, signed and captured on the municipality’s performance management systems. • Facilitating the submission of the Units contribution to the scorecard and SDBIP, including project plans and KPI definitions. • Facilitates the unit’s talent management initiatives. • Co-ordinates with unit’s customer service management initiatives. • Manages the procedural administrative and reporting requirements/ deadlines associated with the function. • Produces and edit documents requested by managers within the unit. • Ensures that a good knowledge of theory, policies and processes that govern the unit’s operation. |

Essential Requirements | • Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Public Management or Public Administration or equivalent. • Valid motor vehicle driving license. • 3 years relevant experience |

Job Purpose | To provide administrative support and control to the Mayoral Affairs Department. |
Key Responsibility Areas | • Controls and supervises the sections within the Support Services Division, including budgetary requirements. • Ensures adherence to finance procedures and regulations by staff in all Divisions of the Department. • Ensures the proper provision of adequate statistical and management information as required by the Department. • Prepares the Departments and Councils Capital and Operating Budgetary requirements and monitors expenditure on an ongoing basis. • Arranges the daily relief and casual staff requirements of all Departments within the Division as requested. • Investigates, formulates recommendations and writes reports on items requiring attention by the Director City Secretariat. • Undertake special projects. • Attends meetings as directed and ensures implementation of matters arising therefrom. • Oversees the on-going maintenance/ upkeep of the internal office areas of the City Hall Complex and parking. • Ensures the effective maintenance of the Departments network of computer equipment and all stand-alone computer equipment. • Assist with disciplinary matters, including counselling of staff. |
