An exciting vacancy exists at Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport for an experienced Technician Civil Maintenance within the Operations Management Division. Key Performance Output The successful candidate, reporting to the Manager Maintenance Engineering will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Execute safe planned and unplanned maintenance activities. Provide input into the development of maintenance planning programme and execution thereof. Participate in failure investigation and root cause analysis. Maintain and/or manage material and spares. Consult and give support in commissioning and testing of assets. Manage Service Level Agreement (maintenance and supply). Conduct continuous Audit and quality control (activities and contractual) and implement remedial action where required. Determine, as part of cross-functional team, evaluation criteria and participate in evaluation and award of bids / tenders received. Prepare, specify, scope of work and technical requirements. Provide Input into allocated budget. Identify and report possible efficiency enhancements and initiatives to ensure resource savings. Engage with relevant stakeholders on report findings. Technical Skills and Experience The following skills and experience will be required: Diploma NQF Level 6 in Civil Engineering is Essential. 3 years’ operational experience in Infrastructure Maintenance is essential. Technical, specialist or analytical skills acquired through tertiary education or the equivalent experience. Competencies Shortlisted candidates will be required to provide proof of their qualifications, NQF level and credits, and must be eligible for Top Security Clearance within 3 months of appointment.
