Purpose of Job
Maintenance assistance on mechanical equipment.
Maintenance Operators are critical to supply maintenance assistance to mechanical artisans and together ensure that essential maintenance activities are executed timeously to support plant operations.
Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities
- Report deviations and defects to Foreman
- Assist Artisans in daily activities
- Good Housekeeping and high Safety standards. Perform inspections where required
- Takes accountability for driving own growth through developing self-awareness, reflecting, seeking feedback and self-correcting.
Formal Education
Grade 12 with Math’s & Science & English (Must)
NQF 2 Mechanical occupational qualification (Wish)
Min Experience
Basic mechanical maintenance understanding
Preventative maintenance execution
Plant maintenance experience (wish)
Communication skills
Team player
Self-driven
Work under pressure with minimal supervision
Must be able to do physical labour
Time and safety conscious
Ability to carry out inspections and complete defect reports
Basic computer literacy will be to your advantage
