Laboratory Techninian

RESPONSIBILITIES

PLANNING

  • Select the right equipment and/or tools for the task as planned.
  • monitor the dates for laboratory equipment collaboration and inspection

EXECUTION OF COMPACTED WELL CONSTRUCTION

  • Assist in execution of compacted well and other activities as instructed by the line manager/ supervisor.
  • maintain safety berm construction wall according to specification.
  • also lead the operator to stand up daily activities and monitor load and haul operation.

LEADING

  • Ensure professional interaction with client, supervisor and line manager at junior to middle management level.
  • engage with peers and senior on the project in support of management alignment towards achievement of project objectives.

SAFETY, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Check the compliances of all laboratory equipment in terms of SHE requirements.
  • Liaise with SHEQ coordinators and fellow employees to maintain safety on the construction of compacted wall onsite.

GENERAL WORKER X2

Description

To ensure that all planned operational targets for water division are met as per contractual obligation in time and good quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with team leader / supervisor to achieve planned operational targets.
  • Perform inspections on designated area of responsibility every day.
  • Planning and managing of water  sites
  • Assist with the problems solving on operational challenges and report any deviations to the immediate supervisor.
  • Adhering to discipline procedures in accordance with the Company’s Policies and Procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations as per all safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Opening and closing of valves in line with operational lines
  • Extension and connecting of pipelines .

Requirements

TEAM LEADER X12

Description

The Purpose of this role is to execute the deposition plan by planning activities, organizing resources, delegating tasks, leading people and controlling risks and deviations to ensure the successful achievement of the deposition plan.

Responsibilities

Planning

  • Select the right equipment for the job
  • Ensure that there are enough stock quantities
  • Ensure appropriate emergency equipment is available

Execute Tailings Dam activities

  • Operate the penstock inlet
  • Maintain beam walls

GENERAL WORKER

Description

CIVIL AND GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER

Purpose:

The position exists to provide technical support primarily to the FA LATAM Tailings operational divisions with the core function being to monitor and manage technical risk. Technical support is provided to the other FA operational divisions as and when needed.

Functions:

Operational:

  • Support the preparation of technical proposals in line with Fraser Alexander´s know-how
  • Provide mentoring, guidance and support to tailings operations
  • Identify, monitor,  report and mitigate technical risks by means of ongoing technical audits
  • Facilitate risk assessments on facilities with significant risk
  • Develop and agree risk mitigation measures
  • Provide assurance that data submissions are accurate
  • Undertake technical assessments of tailings operations including stability assessments, life assessments water balances etc.
  • Preparation of technical audit reports in line with country regulations and Fraser´s standards

Optimisation:

  • Ensure continuous improvement to optimize the effective functioning of the Technical Division
  • Work closely with Operations on contracts to ensure that appropriate estimations have been made and accurate costings are submitted for project deliverables and performance in terms of technical input
  • Deliver on the value proposition to FA Operations as per agreed scope of work

SHEQ Management:

  • Function within FA and Client SHEQ standards and procedures
  • Suggest improvements and corrective actions where appropriate

Stakeholder Management:

• It is required to reach clients and industry and government related institutions, educating, mentoring, and discussing the benefits of hydro-remining and tailings deposition methods vs alternatives.

BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYST

Purpose

This position exists to support the development and implementation of the FA LATAM Business Process Framework (BPF)

Functions

Strategic Management  

  • Understands the complete Fraser Alexander’s strategic goals to be achieved by 2026
  • Work with the GM, HR Team, Project Managers, Operations Managers, Site Managers in the implementation of FA LATAM Business Plan
  • Monitor the Fraser Alexander’s Divisional objectives implementation and work with team members to correct any variations

Technical Management

  • Support the definition and implementation of the Business Process Framework
  • Lead identification, adaption, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of corporate policies, processes, procedures and tools across the region
  • Coordinate the development of Knowledge Management System
  • Monitor implementation of the divisional training program, including Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
  • Monitor the implementation of individual and divisional action plans included in annual scorecards to ensure effective implementation of FA LATAM objectives.

Digitization

  • Identification and adoption of business process digitisation tools
  • User journey maps using Business Process Mapping tools for digital solutions
  • Training and Change Management during digitized work implementation

Operational Performance

  • Analyse operational activities, continuously scouting for improvement opportunities.
  • Support the implementation of a Continuous Improvement (BI) platform

Reporting

  • Divisional scorecard status

MACHINE OPERATOR

 

PURPOSE

This positions exists for the safe operation of the machines

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide driving services to designated sections.

Transport, move any goods, equipment, material or people.  Evaluate tasks, ground conditions,

Perform routine vehicle inspections, completes checklist and reports defects to  the Supervisor.

Clean, issue, inspect & receive equipment and tools under his control.  Provide assistance as required.

Carry out maintenance at the discretion of the Supervisor.

Maintain and improve safety, health and environmental standards and practices.  Perform fair and reasonable tasks related to the job and working environment, at  the discretion of the Supervisor

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Grade 12

Drivers License but preferably Code EC

Previous experience as a Licensed Bobcat Operator – Added advantage

  Professional Driving Permit (PDP) – Added Advantage

Successful completion of designated assessments
