JUNIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER

The Graphic Designer will support the delivery of business objectives through creative design that accurately reflects the Bathu brand and corporate identity. The individual will form part of the marketing team and be required to assist in production of visuals and creative design concepts that meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders. The individual will interpret concepts and ideas into visual material that meet the Bathu style and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities;
- Conceptualise and design materials such as digital, store, branding collateral
- Adhere to Bathu brand guidelines, meet and exceed defined expectations in terms of aesthetics, quality , turnaround time and efficiency
- Familiar with the latest design trends and advocate the same to team members and customers
- To work collaboratively with the team and internal project leads or agencies
- Prioritise deadlines and effectively manage multiple creative projects parallelly
- Provide unique and innovative design solutions to all retail, marketing and digital work
- Study information and materials to plan concepts for design and prepare rough drafts of materials based on the brief
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1+ years of experience, preferably within an agency
- Bachelor’s degree or national diploma in graphic design
- Proficiency in Keynote, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe inDesign, After Effects and Premier Pro
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Aptitude for art direction
- Ability to interact effectively and positively in a fast paced environment
- Understanding of current and future visual trends
- A customer centric mindset with creative and innovative approach
- Working knowledge of creative infographics and data visualisation techniques
- Flawless typography skills and keen sense of balance and intuition when it comes to layout
- Excellent communication (comprehension, verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and persuade.

The Purpose
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for store sales, product, inventory and systems.This role must lead the impeccable execution of retail planning, ensuring the consistent application of business controls. Imperative to the success of this role is meeting financial and service targets.
Key Responsibilities:
● Ability to take the store manager and area manager’s instruction and ensure the proper dissemination of business imperatives to staff, ensuring the proper understanding and timeous execution of business plans and monthly targets
● Ensure the store staff comprehend and comply with the policies and procedures of the business
● Ensure accurate and timeous daily reporting on your store status and compliance requirements to the relevant internal stakeholders
● Ensure all in-house retail displays are quality-controlled & brand-aligned, including the store staff’s hygiene and appearance.
● Ensure daily and weekly sales targets and reviews are done with the Store Manager

● Ensure consistent knowledge by store staff by teaching them and providing they become subject matter experts on Bathu products, systems, customer service, sales, merchandising, cash handling, and policies
● Ensure to conduct morning team meetings to discuss sales performance with all staff
● Ensures to complete cash-ups and banking accurately and in good time

Key Responsibilities:
Manage human capital in four provinces and the staff compliment therein across the multiple town locations in the following:
- Ensure best recruitment practices for your designated locations, with accurate timelines in the execution of your delivery
- Ensure accurate and timeous benefits administration for all permanent staff members in your region
- Ensure to regularly evaluate training needs for your region, source and implement training programs accordingly
- Oversee all employee relations matters for your designated location including the preparation for and presentation at the CCMA and/Bargaining Council
- Provide a monthly employee relations update to your department on the number of hearings, violations, and dismissals in your region
- Ensure accurate compliance with the Department of Labour regarding inspections
- Oversee and drive compensation and incentive programs that are competitive and effective at motivating and retaining high performers
- Oversee and ensure monthly accurate payroll processing for your region by ensuring timeous and validated capturing of all input and the reporting of variances accurately
- Foster a healthy working environment for your region, in line with the HR strategy
- Monitor employee turnover in your region and identify trends and issues.
- Ensure to present retention strategies to address issues
- Ensure to contribute to statutory submissions as required of the human capital office
Behavioral and Skills Competencies:

Qualification and Experience:
- A minimum tertiary qualification relevant to NQF 6 in Human Resources/Social Sciences
- A minimum of 5 years of HR Generalist experience at a middle management level
- 2 years of retail experience in Human Capital would be highly advantageous
- Effective communication in South African languages
- Advanced computer literacy skills
- A valid South African driver’s license
- Ability to operate in a role that requires frequent travel
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends
