As an Engineering Project Planner and Scheduler, you will be responsible to plan and report on the overall execution of Engineering Modifications and Small Projects by controlling project schedules/plans and to track progress on projects for success.

• Provides planning and scheduling expertise for the overall front-end loading programs that will include, concept development, options analyses, engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational readiness activities as per the Cube projects by phases approach;
• Develops summary and detailed schedules including the front-end planning for all the individual projects in the approved projects;
• Develops baseline Master schedule derived from the combined individual project schedules and monitor/report schedule progress against established baseline on a monthly basis;

• Provides input in aligning the high-level project plans into the development of the 2-5 year Capex Business plan;
• Generate project S-curves on major projects to reflect forecasting and project status.
ABOUT YOU:
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
• Has worked in Project Management administrative environment for a period of 4 years;
• Has at least 2 years’ experience in planning of multi-disciplinary projects within a heavy industrial environment;
• Sound knowledge and application of planning programs/ systems such as MS Project or Primavera, MS Excel;
• Formal planning training accreditation for Microsoft Project.

This role is a fixed term contract position.
As a Maintenance Controller, you will be responsible to develop and communicate the plans and schedules for an Operation / Operation area in accordance with the SAP Work Management processes.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
• Facilitate the weekly prioritisation and the resource levelling meetings to ensure alignment of all work management activities to production or other operational plans;
• Create and plan SAP work orders that enable effective deployment of work management resources, including personnel, service providers and materials;
• Develop and communicate accurate weekly work schedules reflecting all work management activities within budget for cost and vendor targets, ensuring that they are adequately resource levelled and aligned to the corresponding 12-week planning window;
• Managing the ordering and delivery of materials for the planned work;
• Request work management master data changes as required, based on equipment strategy reviews, failure analysis and identified quality errors;
• Develop secondary task lists for relevant reoccurring work to support effective planning and safe execution;
• Execute the planning and scheduling functions and requirements for Shared Resource Work teams, internal and external;
• Conduct SAP training / coaching of maintenance departments and other sub functions;

• N6 National Technical Diploma with a valid Trade Test.

This role is a permanent full-time position.
As a Specialist Mine Planning, you will be responsible for all the mining engineering activities under the area of responsibility. The Specialist will be responsible for short-term mine scheduling of all production tasks related to Mamatwan, to deliver the business plan.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
• Responsible for producing short-term mine plans in the Mamatwan Pit;
• Develops medium to short-term production plans, models, schedules and forecasts in conjunction with both internal and external stakeholders;
• Perform quarterly forecast to accommodate any major changes to the plan;
• Monitor performance against plans and execution of Short Term Mine Plans;
• Compile Mine plan compliance reports;
• Weekly site visits are required with the Specialist Mine Design to ensure alignment in terms of the deployment strategy and to identify future design requirements;
• Provide recommendations for improvement and monitor any actions required to get back on plan. (Risks & Opportunities with an Action Plan);
• Contribute to project initiation, scope definition and scope change control;
• Contribute to delivering departmental Business Improvement EBIT/benefits target via the BI Project Pipeline.
ABOUT YOU:
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
• Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Opencast Mining and planning;
• In-depth knowledge in Deswik (Deswik CAD, Deswik SHED), MicroStation, or other scheduling software is essential;
• In depth knowledge of mine design is an advantage;
• In depth knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act, regulations and definitions is essential;
• Computer literacy in MS Office Suite and SAP is essential.
Qualifications for this role are:
• Degree/BTECH/National Diploma in Mining Engineering or Mine Surveying;
• Surface Mine Blasting ticket is advantageous;

As an Authority to work officer, you will be responsible to ensure alignment and compliance to the authority to work process for the mine.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
•Issue ATW and Permits that he/she has been trained on, accredited, and appointed for;
•Administer all documentation associated with the ATW process, including document storage requirements;
•Link the ATW to the relevant permit(s);
•Validate that the work group(s) and Authoriser for ATW has the scope of work clearly defined;
•Validate the correct identification of equipment to be worked on with the Authoriser for ATW;
•Review changes to scope of work and assess impact on ATW status;
•Manage the issue and return of temporary personal locks;
•Communicate with operations once an ATW is closed, i.e. ready for unlocking;
•Issue ATW only within the area they are appointed to;
•Where there is an associated lockbox isolation, confirm that the scope of work can take place within the original intent and boundary of the isolation;
•Keep the ATW office neat and professional;
•Perform workplace Interactions and record these.
ABOUT YOU:
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
•Must have a minimum of 3 years in mining environment underground essential
•Previous supervisory experience and 1SAP knowledge is advantageous.
