Boilermaker Team Leader

North West Province

Location:
Dudfield Operation, Lichtenburg, North West Province

Responsibilities:

  1. Managing the execution of boiler making maintenance and breakdown repair to meet Operational Equipment
    Efficiency targets.
  2. Initiating, maintaining and executing work duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  3. Managing people to achieve alignment with organisational values, objectives and targets.
  4. Leading, participating, contributing and executing cost – saving initiatives and equipment efficiency improvement
    programmes.
  5. Participating in plant initiatives to set and meet continuous improvement target.
  6. Maintaining safety, health and environmental standards.
  7. Performing maintenance planning and administrative duties in SAP.

Experience and Qualifications:

  1. Grade 12
  2. Preferred qualification of N5 with a recognized Boilermaker or Welder trade qualification, together with 3 years’
    experience in a heavy industry (experience in a cement plant will be advantageous) OR,
  3. N4 with a recognized Boilermaker or Welder trade qualification, with 5 years of cement production experience OR,
  4. N3 with a recognized Boilermaker or Welder trade qualification, with 8 years cement production experience inclusive
    of the learnership period OR,
  5. Recognized Boilermaker or Welder trade qualification, with 10 years’ cement production experience inclusive of the
    learnership period.
  6. Extensive experience in maintenance system implementation and strategy.
  7. Experience in people management.
  8. Valid code 8 driver’s license.
  9. Must be declared medically fit after medical examination.

Skills and Knowledge:
 Advanced fault finding techniques and root cause analysis skills.
 Thorough knowledge of cement or clinker manufacturing equipment and process.
 Sufficient knowledge of heavy industry equipment to do proper plant inspection, maintenance and repairs
 Knowledge of health, safety and environmental risks identification and statutory requirements and management.
 Computer literacy (SAP PM experience will be advantageous)

    Experience and Qualifications:

  10. Experience in a cement plant will be advantageous
  11. Valid Code 08 Driver’s Licence

    Skills and Knowledge:
     Sound understanding of operations maintenance strategies and MAC system
     Sufficient knowledge of heavy industry equipment to do proper plant inspection, maintenance and
    repairs

    prescribed strategy
  4. Executing work duties in accordance with legal regulations and company policy and procedures
  5. Completing administrative tasks by utilising SAP
  6. Maintaining Safety, Health and Environmental standards
  7. Participating in the Maintenance Team’s initiatives to set and meet continuous improvement targets

Experience and Qualifications:

  1. Grade 12
  2. Recognized Fitter or Fitter and Turner Trade Qualification.
  3. Minimum 4 years’ experience in heavy industry
  4. Experience in a cement plant will be advantageous
  5. Valid Code 08 Driver’s Licence
  6. Must be declared medically fit after medical examination.

Responsibilities

  1. Operating various EME to transport clinker, gypsum and additives to cement mill hoppers and corrective
    material to the raw mill.
  2. Inspecting and immediately reporting warnings or defective equipment.
  3. Executing refractory and reline duties to avoid premature failure on installation
  4. Ensuring the plant area is kept in a safe and clean condition.
  5. Participating in resolving production related problems on ad hoc basis
  6. Executing work duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  7. Participating in, contributing to and executing cost saving initiatives, mining conservation and production rate
    improvement programs.

Experience and Qualifications:

  1. Grade 12
  2. Minimum 1-year mobile equipment experience in a production environment
  3. Valid Code 10 driver’s license
  4. Must satisfy the requirements of the medical examination as well as the practical and theoretical
    driver training assessment

Skills and Knowledge:

  1. Basic problem identification and resolution skills
  2. Basic understanding of production and maintenance strategies
  3. Good knowledge of Earth Moving Equipment
  4. Knowledge of health, safety, environmental risks identification and statutory requirements

  1. Independently carrying out all routine and AD HOC predictive and precision maintenance
    measurements on all business-critical equipment.
  2. Independently carrying out extensive analysis diagnoses and provide a prognosis on the conditions
    and failure mechanisms affecting the cost and efficiency performance of the business-critical
    equipment.
  3. Assisting the Maintenance Team Leader in developing formal technical reports and updating the
    equipment repair / replacement strategy.
  4. Performing workshop & field precision maintenance tasks and measurements.
  5. Actively participating in reliability improvement programs and root cause failure analysis process of
    business-critical equipment.
  6. Maintaining different databases, tools and equipment to the highest standard.

Experience and Qualifications:

  1. Grade 12
  2. Must be qualified as a Millwright.
  3. Minimum 2 years cement experience
  4. Valid Code 08 Driver’s Licence
  5. Must be declared medically fit after medical examination

Skills and Knowledge:
 Must be skilled in Conditions Based Monitoring Techniques
 Advanced Root cause Analysis skills
 Very good knowledge of cement plant equipment.
 Sound understanding of machinery
 Computer literacy (SAP experience will be advantageous)
