Key Account Manager – B2B Fleet Card & CRT Sales (Coastal)

  • Management of strategic key accounts, responsible for relationship and retention strategy of platinum client base.

Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy Specialist

The Lead Stakeholder & Advocacy is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage stakeholders and advocate for the company’s strategic objectives, sustainability goals, and business excellence initiatives. Reporting to the General Manager of Strategy, Sustainability, and Business Excellence, this role plays a critical part in enhancing the company’s reputation and fostering positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and government relations. The ideal candidate will have strong strategic thinking, communication, and advocacy skills.

  • Collaborate with the sustainability team to integrate stakeholder feedback into sustainability initiatives.
  • Promote the company’s sustainability efforts to stakeholders and the broader community.

IT Risk Cyber Security & Compliance Manager

Job Purpose

The IT risk, cyber security & compliance manager ensures the security of all IT/OT data and operations through the effective implementation of IT/OT cyber security, IT/OT general controls, governance, resilience strategies, risk mitigation controls and frameworks. They are also responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of the disaster recovery plans and that business continuity provisions are in place across IT services. This role also leads, manages and controls the Governance Risk and Compliance function acting as a point of escalation where critical breaches occur across Astron Energy’s systems

  • Accountable for the definition of the IT risk, security and compliance framework for Astron Energy including information risk (cyber security), it policies, disaster recovery and business continuity.
  • Oversee the adherence of Business and IT solutions to security architecture and design standards.
  • Ensure a formal set of IT risk, security and compliance processes are in place by which the organisation can remediate risks.
  • Lead, develop and manage the IT/OT risk, security and compliance capability
  • Create a culture of high performance, value-for-money, optimisation and innovation in the IT risk, security and compliance team and manage performance of the team effectively.
  • Support CIO to manage IT governance and resilience strategy through the establishment of effectively defined strategies and control mechanisms for both governance and resilience.
  • Ensure compliance of all IT services to the defined risk, security and compliance frameworks.
  • Maintain and continuously improve policies, standards and procedures to ensure demonstrable regulatory and legal control for all information and risk for Astron Energy from an IT perspective.
  • Schedule risk and compliance audits, review the outcomes of the audit process, direct compliance issues to appropriate resources for investigation and resolution.
  • Develop, implement and maintain a risk register, contribute results to corporate dashboard.
  • Ensure that all systems have business continuity plans in place, ensuring that processes and procedures are available in a disaster situation.
  • Manage the overall disaster recovery and business continuity planning process as well as report results to the business and CIO.
  • Work with the development, service introduction and testing teams to produce the disaster recovery and business continuity planning operational acceptance criteria.
  • Complete operational risk assessments and escalate key issues (where necessary).
  • Ensure all critical IT services are maintained and available to business nationwide and effective failovers are in place.
  • Management reporting of company IT risks for report-out at the Board Audit & Risk Committee.
  • Company Data Privacy Officer.

Professional Qualification and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Certification in risk, information systems and security (CISM, CRISC, CIPM) or similar desirable
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture (SBSA) or similar mandatory.
  • ITIL Foundation

Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT risk management, cybersecurity, security architecture and compliance
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing IT and OT/ICS security, risk, and compliance teams
  • Extensive experience in regulatory compliance (POPIA, GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, ITIL)
  • Proven experience in disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP)
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, SOC, vulnerability scanning, and incident response
  • Proven experience in securing SCADA, DCS, and PLC environments in industries like oil & gas, energy, or logistics
  • Experience with regulatory compliance for industrial cybersecurity (e.g., NIST 800-82, IEC 62443)

Knowledge and skills:

Technical Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, COBIT)

Refinery – Supervisor Control Systems

Reporting to the Lead – Electrical, Instruments, and Control Systems (E, I & C). The Supervisor: Control Systems serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Control Systems, supporting refinery-wide initiatives to enhance equipment availability. This role involves maintaining effective communication with key stakeholders such as IT, TSD, Operations and Teams within Reliability and Maintenance to ensure the seamless operation of All Control Systems. He/She leads a team of Control Systems Specialists and a Control System Analyst.

Base Business:

  • Lead and manage a team of Control Systems Specialists (CSS) and a Control Systems Analyst (CSA), overseeing daily work allocation, shift scheduling, and ensuring continuous after-hours support. Supervise, mentor, and coach team members while providing technical guidance and direction.
  • Advise, manage, and plan for all key technology decisions and necessary changes in control systems.
  • Software license management and outsourcing of application support.
  • Provide input into the business planning cycle, ensuring assets are properly maintained, and upgrades are planned. Build business cases for new technology implementation.
  • Develop, document, and sustain standard processes for support, including proactive and predictive tools.
  • Repair, maintain, and support Refinery Control Systems e.g. Yokogawa DCS and ESD, PLCs, SCADAs and all other Black Box Solutions.

Maintenance Strategies:

  • Interface and coordinate system maintenance and support activities with OT specialists.
  • Remote client-server operating system hardware, base application support, security, and troubleshooting.
  • Plan, develop, and implement procedures to facilitate software and hardware system upgrades.
  • Ensure calibration of tank gauges and provide adequate support for the tank team.
  • Define Sparing Philosophy and ensure availability of critical spares in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Ensures condition monitoring and preventive maintenance requirements are adhered too.
  • Ensures deviations addressed proactively to drive equipment availability
  • Data analysis of system generated trends, reports etc
  • Able to identify problems and recommend solutions through integrating field observations, trouble shooting and Stakeholder engagement
  • Critical inquiry to validate assumption.

Project Design:

  • Engage with IT: OT specialists and plant engineering staff to ensure alignment of industrial technologies.
  • Support the design and configuration of advanced control loops in collaboration with the ADCON (Advance Control) engineering group.
  • Develop DCS control graphics and LOGIC configurations from functional control specifications.
  • CAPEX & OPEX – Cost stewardship and efficient execution of maintenance activities
  • Efficient & effective use of resources to ensure objectives are achieved and work delivered on time, in scope and within budget. 
  • Able to work on multiple tasks and/or requests with different priorities. 
  • Manage complex schedules and communicate possible delays in meeting deadlines. 
  • Ensure that MOC process is followed, and that modified plant/maintenance procedures are implemented according to set standards
  • Propose, initiate and track field and capital projects in area of responsibility
  • Initiate the replacement of obsolete instrumentation equipment by following an Asset Management Life Cycle Approach
  • Implementation of maintenance projects and supports capital projects

Safety Critical Equipment:

  • Owns execution, auditing and management of Emergency Shutdown Systems
  • Coordinate the team with mandatory ESD checks
  • Provides input to Reliability on Instrumentation SCE’s.
  • Provides input to PSM on Safety Instrumentation System (SIS) metrics monthly

Advisor:

  • Act as an advisor for system integration and provide expert input into the maintenance and troubleshooting of critical systems – Company Wide
  • Communicate effectively during regular management sessions, offering timely feedback to supervisors and peers.
  • Develop organisational capability by supervising, training and coaching artisans, technicians and apprentices on how the control systems function and in diagnosing operating problems. 
  • Technical Advice and consultation on studies, projects, Process Hazard Analyses (PHA’s), Management of Change (MOC’s).
  • Owner & Initiator of MOC’s 
  • Lead and participate in Investigations
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert advice and guidance maintenance Coordinators, technicians and project staff.

Safety:

  • Embrace and promote safety and environmental initiatives, actively engaging with the workforce through safety observations and plant/unit audits.

Professional Qualification and Certifications:

National Diploma (Instrumentation & Control Systems) preferred, or N5 Electrical discipline Qualification (Instrumentation & Control Systems/Light Current), and refining experience.

Trade Test Instrumentation is an advantage

Minimum Experience required:

10+ Years’ experience Petrochemical Industry experience in Controls & Instrumentation

SME in Astron Refinery plant, equipment and processes strongly advantageous

Work Experience:

  • 10 or more years Control Systems / Instrumentation experience in a refinery or chemical processing environment
  • 7 years’ supervisory experience

Knowledge and skills:

  • Significant operational experience in refinery environment / relevant industry
  • Demonstrated experience in industrial automation and control system modifications, enhancements and expansions
  • Demonstrated DCS, SCADA and PLC support and upgrade knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of motor control and power systems
  • Knowledge of Process Instrumentation.
  • Experience in a support and coordination role – for industrial computer systems and networks
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting – problem solving, and resolving technical issues
  • Ability to articulate highly complex information.
