Graduate Trainee – Research Scientist
Requirements
- 4-year tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Molecular Biology
and Ecology/Environmental Resource Management. - MSc or PhD will be an advantage.
- Unemployed South African graduates below the age of 35
years who reside in Cape Town - Must be eligible to register with the South African Council for

Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner
Requirements
- BTech in Occupational Health Nursing
- Four (4) to five (5) years’ relevant experience in occupational
health including experience doing audiometry, spirometry,
vision testing and conducting medicals - Certification in Occupational Health disciplines for
Audiometry and Spirometry - Strong knowledge of occupational health legislation and
compliance requirements - Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
(Valid OH qualification must appear on SANC receipt) - SASOHN registration as an Audiometrist
- Computer literacy
- Valid Code B driver’s licence (advantageous) and reliable
transport.
Key Performance Areas
- Perform medical surveillance and examinations to identify
occupational health-related diseases within the City of
Cape Town to ensure compliance with relevant OHS
policies and related legislation - Coordinate and perform risk-based pre-employment medical
evaluations according to the employee job descriptions,
job performance requirements and relevant legislation
to determine employee suitability - Perform specialised tests including vision testing, audiometry,
spirometry and biological monitoring, in line with inherent
job requirements of employees - Coordinate, implement and maintain an audiometry
programme as part of the hearing conservation programme - Maintain accurate and confidential health records and
information - Coordinate ill-health incapacity case management in
compliance with relevant legislation and policies - Conduct onsite health risk assessments to establish an
exposure profile and ensure adequate medical surveillance
