CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Key Outcomes:
•    Operationalisation of the organisational strategy across all business units in the Gautrain Management Agency.

•    Provide executive leadership over the development and implementation of intragovernmental and/or intergovernmental mandates in accordance with the GMA Act, GTI Act, and the GMA’s policy framework.
•    Lead strategic resolution of contractual disputes and claims to safeguard institutional interests.
•    Provide executive leadership over the development of statutory and other appropriate reporting.


i)    Financial Oversight and Operational Management    

•    Oversee and provide executive oversight to ensure operational delivery is aligned with approved financial parameters and cost disciplines.
•    Oversee and monitor cost drivers across operations and programmes, identifying systemic pressures and enabling timely corrective action.
•    Champion a culture of cost consciousness and value optimisation across Executive‑led functions.
•    Oversee and guide management decisions to balance financial sustainability with service delivery imperatives.
•    Support the CEO and Board with insight on operational cost trends and financial performance risks.

•    Oversee timely resolution of material deviations, risks, and systemic delivery constraints to MANCO and the Board.
•    Oversee and drive corrective executive interventions where projects or programmes threaten portfolio outcomes.
•    Oversee the consistency of performance reporting across all projects. 
•    Oversee and promote a culture of disciplined delivery and accountability across project sponsors and owners.

Qualifications    

Minimum: 
A SAQA-recognised Honour’s Degree or Post-graduate qualification at NQF Level 8 in any of the following disciplines:

  • Engineering and/or the Built Environment, Commerce,
  • Finance, Accounting
  • Business Administration
  • Transport Economics

Project Management with accredited professional Certification or registration with a recognised professional body as applicable to the qualification above.    

Ideal: 
Master’s Degree or NQF Level 9 and above qualification in any of the following as an added advantage:

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

GMA is looking for 3x Management Representatives to manage the daily operations of various DLTC’s.
The purpose of the Management Representative role is to manage daily operations of a DLTC and ensure compliance as per the National Road Traffic Act.
PREFERRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

National Diploma (NQF 6)
Registered as examiner for driving licenses
1 year experience as Examiner for driving licenses (2 years or more will be advantageous)

KEY PERFORMANCE AREA

Day to day management of the DLTC
Ensure compliance to relevant Acts, Regulations and Procedure manuals
Management of availability of Slots vs Examiner diaries.
Provision of daily reports to management

Management of Face Value Documents

Ensure that cashiers remove FVD’s from the printer tray when leaving the workstation

Cashiers to return all cancelled and misprinted FVD’s through the prescribed form

Cashiers to log out of Natis when leaving their workstations

Balance daily CD and RD323 with POS receipts and forward to finance

Ensure that driving license cards status are updated on the NaTIS

Submit monthly report of all cards that could not be printed for the previous month and reasons thereof

Submit monthly report of queries resolved/unresolved with POE

Management of leave for the DLTC staff

Compliance

Ensure that the DLTC complies with the minimum requirements for retention of registration and grading in terms of Regulation 92 of the National Road Traffic Act 93/1996

Ensure that all tests are conducted as prescribed

Ensure compliance with company’s policies, procedures and Standard Operating Procedures

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

GMA is looking for 18x Trainee Examiners for various DLTC’s.

The purpose of the examiner role is to ensure that driving license and professional driving permit tests are conducted in accordance with the National Road Traffic Act and other applicable Act

PREFERRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Grade 12 Certificate
