Assistant Professional Officer

Requirements

  • A B BTech/Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • Registered as a Candidate Engineering Technologist or eligible for
    registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
  • Minimum 2 years appropriate experience in a roads and
  • Stormwater maintenance, construction or design environment.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Must be prepared to work in any of the 8 Roads and Stormwater
    geographical Districts

Key Performance Areas

  • Compiles schedules of projects for maintenance and
    rehabilitation of roads, structures, stormwater, lane marking,
    signs, street furniture, parking areas, rivers, fences, guardrails etc
  • Undertakes inspections and surveys of road and related
    infrastructure individually and as panel member.
  • Implement Maintenance and Rehabilitation projects
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding
    projects and special programmes
  • Facilitates the issuing of wayleaves and permits to Service
    Authorities
  • Provide professional support to the technical and professional staff
  • Administer the as-built drawing filing system in collaboration with the
    relevant stakeholders, including the GIS and CRMS Sections
  • Assist with planning and administration using the SAP PPM system

Change Management Lead – Car Project

Requirements

  • A relevant three-year tertiary qualification (preferably a
    Diploma/National Diploma or Degree)
  • Certification in Prosci Change Management Methodology would
    be advantageous
  • Minimum eight (8) years’ relevant experience in strategic Change
    management and Change leadership roles
  • Public sector experience will be advantageous

Key Performance Areas

  • Manage organisational change and leadership, including culture
    enablement
  • Facilitate the development of change management strategy
    aligned to the business strategy and key transformational priorities
    highlighted under the CAR Project
  • Change readiness analysis and monitoring
  • Raises the overall awareness of the CAR programme
  • Providing direct project support as needed to execute key change
    management and leadership initiatives under the CAR Project

    stakeholders/sponsors
  • Change intervention and communication strategies
  • Change enablement and capacitation in relation to the CAR
    Projects
  • Administration: manage knowledge and content in relation to the
    CAR Projects

Fleet Data Analyst

Requirements

  • Grade 12 plus a relevant ICT qualification
  • Two (2) to five (5) years’ relevant experience in data analytics
  • SAP proficiency in Plant Maintenance (PM) and Asset Maintenance
    Master Register (AM) will be advantageous
  • Computer literacy in MS Office with advanced experience in Excel
  • A valid driver’s licence will be advantageous
  • Supervisory experience would be advantageous.

Key Performance Areas

  • Coordinate, control and maintain master data for corporate fleet
    and plant equipment
  • Analyse and evaluate research data i.e. technical data from
    vehicles and SAP
  • Interpret results of information gathering to enable the branch to
    make informed decisions
  • Supply all statistical information requested from departments within
    the City of Cape Town
  • Draft analytical reports and correspondence pertaining to fleet
    statistics, usage and categories of vehicles etc.
  • Coordinate the SAP training for the branch
  • Supervise staff
  • Provide input into the annual budget develop fleet cost recovery
    pricing and systems.

Requirements

  • Relevant Degree / BTech in Policing or similar field
  • Eight (8) years’ experience in a Policing field or similar environment
    (including 5 years managerial and 3 years supervisory experience in

  • Proficiency in two of the official languages of the Western Cape
