Requirements :
- Grade 10-11(authentic school report)/Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification. Knowledge of laundry/linen services and sewing will be an added advantage. Good communication and willing to work in a team, knowledge of Batho Pele Principles. Must be able to work of a physical nature; be prepared to rotate within the scope of work. Must be prepared to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
Duties :
- Collection and delivery of linen bags from different wards of the hospital. Operate various machines in the laundry (i.e. washing, dryer and pressers. Iron, fold, count and pack laundered items and seal linen/clothes bags. Collect and deliver linen/clothes to wards. Sort, count and record dirty linen/clothes. Tying and labelling of dirty linen bags. Mend torn linen. Partake in linen inventory counting and cleaning of linen trolleys. Ensure that linen delivery checklists are signed by the wards. Assist in other linen section duties per request of supervisors. Execute instructions by supervisor/management. Demonstrate sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) principles and practices. Perform other duties as allocated by the supervisor. Be willing to undergo continuous training and development programs. Attend meetings and training as approved by the supervisor. Comply with the Performance Management and Development System (Contracting, quarterly reviews and final assessment).

Duties :
- Cleaning of floors and walls, attend to all low and high surface areas, dusting doors and door handles, lockers, beds and other furniture, washing of windows and window frames, Clean and dust curtains/blinds. Cleaning of outside areas, (corridors, picking of papers in front of the ward/office), remove waste according to the required standard, Cleaning of fridges and micro-ovens. Washing of cups and utensils in the ward. Good control of chemicals and operate heavy duty cleaning machines Report any defects in the workplace to the supervisor. Ensure and maintain a clean and secure environment of patients. Always attend to all spillages to avoid injuries. Providing all areas with DEO blocks, air fresheners, hand washing soap and toilet papers daily. Collecting patient’s food/ beverages from the kitchen to the wards daily. Unpacking and packing of linen in the storeroom. Perform delegated duties requested by the supervisor

Duties :
- Ensure reliable information and timely information reporting on National Tertiary services Grant, Web-DHIS. Capture patient information accurately on electronic systems such as TIER. Net, DHIS, SAP-His or other health databases. Record HIV testing, ART treatment, Prep treatment, Laboratory results and patient follow-up information. Perform data quality checks, reconcile data. Improve Data Quality by performing training of discrepancies staff in data collection, providing feedback standardize filling of reported data, and validate data by comparing DHIS and summary monthly. Compile daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly statistics and reports. Verify and validate data to ensure accuracy and completeness. Generate reports on missed appointments, treatment outcome and outstanding laboratory results.
