Gauteng Cancellations Consultant
Description
The role involves the instruction of and liaising with our panel of attorneys around the monitoring of our security from a releases and cancellations perspective. The successful candidate will be the custodian of the cancellations space which involves, inter alia, subdivisions, consolidations, releases, cancellations and consents.
The candidate will be working with both Pretoria and Johannesburg consultants and will be based primarily in the Pretoria office.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising consultants and attorneys on releases and cancellations of mortgage bonds, consolidations, opening of sectional title registers, subdivisions, real right releases
- Training
- Reviewing credit minutes and ensuring that all conditions on minutes are met
- Risk and compliance reporting
- Drafting, vetting, and signing consents
- Reviewing of facilities
- Updating Collateral Register
- Ensuring that all legal risk implications are understood and accounted for in the contracting process to protect the bank’s interests
- Keeping up to date with new legislation and ensuring that any changes that need to be implemented from a contractual perspective as a result of the change in legislation are done so in the most cost-effective manner
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Conveyancing Paralegal with a minimum of 8 – 10 years of experience and/or Admitted Attorney with 4 – 5 years of experience and an understanding of conveyancing
- Experience in bond cancellations and releases, subdivisions, consolidations, registration of bonds and transfers
- Good working knowledge of developments, opening of sectional title registers and real rights
- Banking experience and exposure to corporate legislation is an advantage
- Ability to query credit and valuation approvals diplomatically
- Understanding of legal concepts and legal entities, and an ability to apply this to the role
- Enthusiastic about an administratively intensive role

We are looking for a senior, hands-on Power Platform Engineer to help guide, govern and scale the organisation’s Microsoft Power Platform capability.
This role combines practical solution delivery with platform administration, governance and technical direction. You will build and support production solutions, maintain the health and control of the Power Platform estate, and use your experience to guide teams on when to use Power Platform, how to design solutions appropriately, and which patterns or approaches should be avoided.
