Main Purpose of the Role 

  • Ensuring minimum downtime at DSV Park Solar City operations and ensuring all preventative & corrective maintenance activities are completed according to plan & budget.
  • Manage and take overall responsibility for all maintenance, breakdowns, maintenance personnel and infrastructure for respective area & equipment. Provide a safe and healthy environment for all to work.

 
Job-Related Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience doing Facility Management, maintenance and preventative maintenance.
  • Engineering Degree from recognised institution (BEng / BScEng / BEng Tech equivalent / NQF6 Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Refrigeration, HVAC, Automation, Facilities Management)
  • Sound knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing, BMS, HVAC Installations & Equipment

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Root cause identification and investigation for issues reported by users and provide analysis of findings to support trouble shooting and prevent downtime.
  • Consult with internal departments, Vendors and Suppliers to plan equipment downtime for service or maintenance. Provides support to vendors with onsite identification of possible faults or breakdowns.
  • Performing a daily Preventative maintenance checklist for key equipment. Using scheduled daily downtime during lunch breaks to complete a list of daily checks.
  • Ensuring spare parts consumed are replenished and that critical spare lists are kept in a managed environment for each supplier.
  • Completing safety inspection checklists as per supplier requirements.
  • Ensuring all data and records of repairs services for audits are current and a full-service history is kept up to date. Records to be kept in a file for each supplier.
  • Assisting with all other emergencies as and when required within the DSV Park Solar City Environment.
  • Standby and overtime work in some weekends / outside of business hours as per operational requirements.
  • Keeping daily records of work performed to identify trends as well as work split between the different entities.

Duties & Resposnilities of the Role

  • New Account Openings: New account opening letter/welcome letter sent to all new customers
  • Credit Risk: Monitor the creditworthiness of customers, credit reports, and other relevant data to assess risk levels accurately.  Monitor credit limits for customers.

SUMMARY

This role is to effectively manage all shipments for specific client from order receive, to delivery to final site including interface with 
all divisions to facilite the movements, updating systems and providing reports and invoices to client. 
Managing and arranging the movement of containers from the port to DSV warehouse and to clients’ DC – based on client 
requirements.

Providing quotations for movements as and when requested.
Provide client with monthly reports of all loads executed for client accruals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receiving shipment details from client, register on VFT and distribute documentation to relevant Air & Sea controller
  • Update vessel details for all shipments on a daily basis
  • Follow up on process of shipments with Air & Sea
  • Update client
  • Receipt of Air & Sea VAT invoices for verification and submission to client for payment
  • Updating VFT with all documentation relevant to shipments
  • Updating CW1 with all supporting documentation where required
  • Liaising with Air & Sea to obtain landed cost invoices with supporting documentation
  • Verify rates against rate structure
  • Create ASN for every shipment to facilitate inventory management
