CODE 14 / EC DRIVERS

Requirements:
❖ Valid code 14 (EC) License
❖ Valid PrDP (not expiring within 6 months)
❖ More than 5 years code 14 (EC) driving experience. (Long
Distance)
❖ S.A. Citizens only
❖ Valid Passport (not expiring within 6 months)
❖ Knowledge of Side Tipper and Flatdeck Trailers
❖ No Criminal Record
❖ Medically Fit
❖ 2 x Contactable References
❖ SARS Letter (IT150) required

FLEET CONTROLLER

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

• The successful candidate must have Grade 12 with 3-5 years’ experience in a Supervisory /
  Managerial role and knowledge of the long-Distance Transport industry.
• A Relevant tertiary qualification in the logistic field will be an added advantage.
• Good, interpersonal, leadership, motivation planning, and communicating (verbal & written)
  skills as well as bilingualism will be essential.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Management of the assets and staff under your control and the meeting of objectives set in the
  budget process. Maximum Utilization of Vehicles, planning of loads, routes, fuel, overnight
  locations etc.
• Service Level Agreements are met between MacDonald’s Transport and its customers.
• Assets and staff comply with all statutory and legal requirements.
• Accident / Incident investigation and submission of all documentation.
• Ensuring that all equipment / machinery is serviced within the allowed service intervals and
  planned COF’s updated.
• Maintaining of a high level of discipline, within the operations.
• Ensuring staff under your control maintain high level of service to customers.
• Preparation and submission of leave schedules in such a manner as to not effect customer
  requirements.
• Administrative duties and Document control. Solving of queries and problem solving
• Management of Drive-Cam as well as Tracking reports.
• Deadline Driven
• Submission of Monthly Management reports
• Must be willing to work Long hours and on Weekend if and when required.

JUNIOR MARKETER

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

• Grade 12.
• Relevant Tertiary qualification.
• Friendly and service orientated.
• Good interpersonal, motivated, and planning skills.
• Good communication (verbal & written).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Customer Care.
• Clients’ visits and appointments.
• Cold Calling.
• Assist with relevant marketing documentation.
• Market research.

Clerk: Gate Contro

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

• Grade 12.
• Qualification in logistics or transportation will be an advantage.
• Prior experience in a logistics, transport depot, or similar gate/yard role is preferred.
• Basic computer skills, with proficiency in data entry and familiarity with yard management
  systems and procedures will be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work outdoors.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and practices within a transport depot.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Gate Operations:

• Coordinate and manage the entry and exit of trucks and containers at the depot gate.
• Conduct thorough inspection of paperwork and ensure all relevant documentation is
  accurate for both incoming and outgoing containers.
• Record and verify the condition of containers upon arrival and departure, documenting any
  damage or irregularities and take note of any specific instructions.

Data Entry and Reporting:

• Accurately input and update information in the depot’s management system.
• Generate regular reports on container movements, inventory status, and other operational
  data as required.
• Support the logistics and transport teams by providing timely information on container
  availability and location.

Customer and Driver Interaction:

• Serve as the first point of contact for drivers and assist with inquiries regarding container
  status and yard protocols.
• Communicate effectively with customers and depot staff to ensure smooth operational
  flow.

Controller: Finance

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

• Gr 12 & relevant tertiary accounting qualification.
• Minimum 5 Years working experience in general accounting.
• Accpac and Pastel experience will be to your advantage.
• Analytical, accurate & attention to detail.
• Self-disciplined and goal driven.
• Excellent communication skills

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Full Pastel accounting function up to trail balance.
• Recording of all Financial transactions.
• Reconciliation of loan accounts.
• Ensure that payments of all municipal accounts are made accurately and timeously.
• Monthly rental invoices and follow up on outstanding amounts.
• Responsible for completion and reconciling of vat returns.
• Composition of audit files.
• Monthly reports to management.

NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST: WAREHOUSING

JOB PURPOSE:
To Market and sell warehousing services through a service to sell approach. To maintain our customer
portfolio and to ensure that all related queries and complaints are dealt with in a professional manner.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
The ideal Candidate must be, friendly and service orientated.
Grade 12 a relevant tertiary qualification.
Advanced Computer literacy with strong Excell skills.
Three years relevant experience in a similar role in Warehouse environment.
Fluency in Afrikaans and English (verbal and written) will be an advantage.
Business Writing skills.
Negotiation skills.
Confident communicator both over the phone and in writing.
Strong sales approach including negotiating, handling objections, and closing a deal.
Self-Motivated with the ability to Working under pressure.
Ability to travel.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Identify and develop profitable new business opportunities for Warehousing related services.
Develop new sales leads and to build a database of potential clients.
Maintain and grow existing business by cross selling opportunities.
Develop strong client relationships to enhance and increase sales potential.
Keep up to-date sales records for all existing and prospective accounts on company IT systems.
Prepare detailed and professional written proposals and quotations where applicable.
