The primary purpose of this role is to manage the financial consolidation of the CCBA group results and associated monthly reporting to the controlling shareholder and to assume responsibility for the consolidation of the monthly actuals, quarterly forecasts and annual reporting cycles and submissions across the CCBA group.
The Group Financial Accountant will:
Engage with CCBA Group Office and Country Finance teams to expedite financial reporting requirements, resolve data quality or completeness issues and improve reporting processes
Liaise with controlling shareholder and resolve queries on monthly reporting
Engage with external auditor around key accounting matters and reporting.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Financial Consolidation : Ensure timely and accurate consolidation of monthly actuals, quarterly forecasts, and annual reporting cycles for the CCBA Group, in line with accounting policies and regulatory standards
Data Management and Process Improvement : Manage the data set within the Hyperion Financial Management system, resolving data quality or completeness issues and driving process improvements based on recurring data submission challenges
Stakeholder Engagement and Support : Engage with internal finance teams across CCBA countries and external auditors to ensure smooth communication, resolve reporting issues, and provide ongoing technical accounting support
Statutory and Regulatory Compliance : Ensure the statutory reporting requirements for CCBA, Mauritius, and Netherlands holding companies are met, in compliance with IFRS and local regulatory standards
Training and Development : Provide coaching and training to finance staff across the organisation, supporting long-term capability development and enhancing financial expertise
Financial Reporting Optimisation : Collaborate with stakeholders to optimise reporting processes, assess results, and provide recommendations for improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency and accuracy
Skills:
Proficiency in consolidating financial data, managing monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Strong understanding of IFRS and US GAAP, with the ability to apply these standards to group-level financial reporting and consolidation.
Ability to produce accurate, timely, and compliant financial reports, including consolidated financial statements and statutory filings
Experience with financial systems, particularly Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), to manage and analyse financial data effectively
Strong focus on identifying recurring issues and implementing improvements to streamline financial reporting processes
Proficiency in providing technical accounting advice, particularly on complex consolidation issues and financial reporting challenges.
Strong knowledge of statutory reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations
Strong analytical abilities to identify discrepancies, assess financial data, and provide pragmatic solutions to reporting challenges.
High-level proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Dynamics, and financial consolidation tools like HFM to manage and streamline financial reporting
Strong attention to detail in reviewing financial data and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant standards

5+ years in financial accounting and group consolidations, with experience in IFRS and US GAAP

The Legal Counsel: Data Privacy will focus on ensuring enhanced compliance with data protection regulations, including GDPR and POPIA, through supporting the design and implementation of robust data governance measures. Key Purpose: To assist the transport team by ensuring that relevant Legislation and transport administration for the area is adhered to so that the correct procedures can be followed.
Key Duties & Responsibilities • Record fleet maintenance data on appropriate software such as SAP
- Completes general transport administration as required
- Process orders, Applies PTP principles in full and files documentation appropriately
- Follows up on Accident repairs and documentation, charges out cost to appropriate department
