SENIOR INVESTIGATOR – CRYPTO ANALYSIS ENFORCEMENT SUPPORT UNIT (Pretoria)

Description

Purpose of the Job:

To conduct and guide forensic investigations in crypto-related inquiries, overseeing necessary tasks, analyzing transaction data within the financial services industry (financial markets, insurance, collective investment schemes, hedge funds, pension funds and financial and advisory services) and to take responsibility for the regulatory and enforcement action, following from such investigations. The person appointed to this position will report to the Senior Manager.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Develop and execute a precise and efficient investigation plan for the crypto inquiry, providing support to the investigation team.
  • Conduct intricate data analysis and deliver comprehensive reports on findings (gathering all relevant, admissible evidence and proper analysis of the evidence).
  • Take responsibility for the execution of all enforcement actions, including the drafting of all enforcement documentation presentation to enforcement meetings.
  • Provide external stakeholders with training and guidance on compliance matters related to cryptocurrency regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with protocols and procedures, including confidentiality and non-abuse of investigation powers.
  • Identify and implement methods to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with other investigative teams to integrate data analysis insights into broader investigative strategies and decision-making processes.
  • Monitor and interpret evolving laws, regulations, and industry standards in the cryptocurrency space, producing comprehensive compliance policies and procedures documentation.

Candidates must demonstrate the following skills and attributes: proven interviewing skills, a confident and decisive approach particularly in difficult situations must be a person with a high level of judgement and integrity; and must be able to carry out duties independently, impartially, and objectively. Candidates must be able to draft investigation reports, with findings properly supported by cross-referenced evidence.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, and or computer science. Completion of at least three certificate courses recognized by SANS (SysAdmin, Audit, Network, and Security) is considered advantageous. With a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the crypto asset industry, including exposure to cybercrime and open-source intelligence, technical knowledge of investigation techniques, evidence and the functioning of the financial services industry and the financial sector laws will be an advantage.

UX DESIGNER : ICT APPLICATIONS, INFRASTRUCTURES AND OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT (Pretoria)

Description

Purpose of the Job:

To define the customer interactions of the customer facing solutions. To support the ongoing design of our customer facing solution and digital experience. Responsible for designing visually appealing, intuitive, and user-friendly software applications. With a deep understanding of user research, design principles, and industry trends, collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and product owners to develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that will drive the development of our software solutions. The person appointed to this position will report to the Senior Manager: Applications

Key Performance Areas:

• Work collaboratively to help identify opportunities to better understand customer’s needs.
• Analyzes and interprets what is happening in the industry, driven by the latest news / incidents.
• Work proactively with technology-, product- and other key stakeholders to come up with new and creative ideas.
• Define user experience concepts and components for the product or project using tools such as wireframes, prototypes, and process flow diagrams.
• Deliver UX designs that would meet the customer experience requirements.
• Proactively uses data to establish key metrics for projects.
• Explore data from analytics platforms, customer insight or other sources to understand context of UX projects
• Regularly tests design work with users in partnership with business and business analysts.
• Continually develops depth and breadth in key competencies.


Other Key Competencies:

The candidate must demonstrate the following skills and attributes: problem analysis, active listening, critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills (verbal and written), and an attention to detail. Proven work experience as a UX Designer, or similar role. Hands-on experience with HTML & CSS environments.

Requirements

A National Diploma in IT or Computer Systems or equivalent, with at least 4 years’ experience in UX design (preferably in customer facing websites and portals). The candidate must have experience in running usability sessions and collaborating with other functions as needed to ensure the proposed UX is feasible and adds value. Deep understanding of design principles and industry trends. Demonstrate working process including user workflows, wireframes / mockups, design exploration and interactive prototypes, delivered to a high level of attention to detail. Basic understanding of HTML and CSS would be an advantage.
