Job Description
Job Purpose:
To develop and grow the sales and market share of BMG’s product offering covering Hydraulic products, by engaging with the BMG branch network and customers. To offer product training to staff and customers, technical advice on new and existing installations, monitor the Hydraulics market, perform competitor analysis, identify new market and product opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet sales targets against specific product price lists in accordance with divisional strategy and set budgets.
- Stock management in accordance with company and divisional procedures.
- Maintain a regular calling schedule with BMG branch representatives to customers.
- Identify a set of key accounts to target and grow to an agreed budget.
- Identify new customers.
- Negotiate contract extensions and increase justifications.
- Joint calling with Branch staff and customers
- Follow up on open enquiries.
- Conduct regular training presentations for both BMG staff and customers.
- Develop and maintain product and marketing literature.
- Supplier promotions.
- Form and maintain relationships and regular communication with existing suppliers.
- Source new suppliers and products in line with divisional strategy.
- Supplier meetings and negotiations
- Customer surveys and troubleshooting undertaken on site.
- Product failure analysis and failure report writing.
- Product identification.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12
- Relevant technical qualification
- Background in applications in hydraulic systems.
- Computer literacy essential
- Min 5 years background in Fluid Technology (Hydraulics) experience.
- 5 years sales experience will be an advantage.
- Experience in supplier/customer negotiations.
- Pricing, purchasing experience.

Job purpose:
To take inquiries from customers internal and external and expedite to the benefit of the branch and the BMG Group.
Job objectives/Principal accountabilities:
- Achieve branch sales budget. Understand the difference between Margin and Markup.
- Margin Preservation. Personal performance relative to branch performance
- A communication and link, role with drivers, store staff, counter sales, storeman, filing clerk, credit controller, external and internal sales.
- Proper buyout methods, adhering to policies and procedures.
- Effective and efficient customer contact extracting the needs of the customer.
- Making accurate legible written notes of the customer, his needs, and the time frame requirements of each enquiry.
- Creating a stimulating environment which makes BMG the preferred supplier to our customers.
- Ensure total participation and create synergy between diverse customer views and intentions.
- Stay within communicated time frames and provide accurate information timeously.
- Maintain a good relationship with customers.
- Communicate requirements to Manager and Product Divisions.
- Pro-active stock planning with Manager and Product Divisions.
- Develop selling skills to maximize sales opportunities and achieve goals.

Junior Accountant
Job Description
The Junior Accountant at BMG South Africa plays a crucial role in supporting the Finance Department in various accounting and financial activities. Reporting to the Financial Operations Manager, the Junior Accountant assists in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and updating financial records. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Assist with preparation of stock reports, obsolescence reports and upliftment schedules.
- Assist with the monthly actual vs budgets reports for divisions
Assist in preparing financial reports, statements, and schedules for internal and external stakeholders. Compile data, perform analysis, and assist in ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
Support the budgeting and forecasting process by gathering data, preparing schedules, and assisting in variance analysis. - Contribute to the development of financial plans and forecasts.
Assist in providing documentation and support for internal and external audits. - Prepare audit schedules, respond to auditor inquiries, and assist in implementing audit recommendations.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal policies. - Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations affecting the organisation.
Minimum Requirements
- National Certificate NQ4
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is required
- 1 -2 years experience in accounting or a finance role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of accounting software systems is a plus.

Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:

- To be fully involved in branch daily operations.
- To ensure daily sales targets are achieved and grow sales.
- Attend to customer / branch sales enquiries and submit quotations in time.
- Service telephone customers as well as counter sales clients.
- Financial reporting, process quotes, create invoices, purchase orders, and assist Reps with enquiries.
- Identify and targeting new customers from and internal perspective.
- Issuing of non-conformances and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
- To process all manual transactions on the system
- Measure customer samples
Minimum Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years sales experience in Engineering, Mining or Agricultural field.

Field Service Assistant
Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
- To assist the Field Service team both in-house and on site with services
- The incumbent is required to employ his trade skills and experience in the servicing, repairs and maintenance of mechanical equipment
- Carry out on work that may not specifically relate to bearings such as, Materials Handling, Drive repairs, Condition Monitoring, mechanical fitting etc
