This role is responsible for shaping and amplifying Investec’s brand through a strong focus on Corporate Social Investment (CSI), sustainability, and education-led impact. Responsibilities:

Brand strategy and positioning

•    In partnership with the Marketing Manager (TL), shape and execute brand strategies that position Investec as a purpose-led organisation, with a strong emphasis on CSI, sustainability, and education initiatives.
•    Embed education as core pillars of Investec’s brand narrative, ensuring these initiatives are not peripheral but central to how the brand shows up.
•    Ensure consistency and distinction of Investec’s identity across all touchpoints, with a deliberate focus on communicating social impact and long-term value creation.
•    Lead research into societal trends, education and sustainability priorities, and stakeholder expectations to keep the brand relevant, responsible, and future-fit.

Campaign execution and integration

•    Working with relevant teams, lead the development and execution of integrated campaigns that elevate Investec’s CSI and education initiatives, including storytelling, partnerships, and thought leadership.
•    Translate programmes into compelling brand narratives that resonate with clients, communities, and employees.
•    Partner with business units to align commercial messaging with purpose-driven initiatives, ensuring a cohesive brand story across impact and business.
•    Oversee brand representation at CSI activations and education programmes, ensuring authenticity, measurable impact, and strong brand alignment.
•    Use data and insights to assess the effectiveness of impact-led campaigns, refining approaches to strengthen engagement, credibility, and brand trust.

Stakeholder and community engagement

•    Act as a strategic brand advisor to internal stakeholders, guiding how CSI, sustainability, and education initiatives are communicated and amplified.
•    Build strong relationships with external partners, NGOs, education institutions, and agencies to enhance Investec’s impact footprint and storytelling.
•    Represent the brand function in leadership and CSI forums, providing input on how brand can support and scale social impact initiatives.

Governance and responsible brand stewardship

•    Safeguard Investec’s reputation by ensuring all CSI, sustainability, and education communications are credible, compliant, and aligned with best practice (avoiding “greenwashing” or superficial positioning).
•    Evolve brand guidelines to incorporate sustainability and impact storytelling, ensuring consistent and responsible communication across markets.

Impact measurement and reporting

•    Define and track metrics that go beyond traditional brand KPIs, incorporating measures of social impact, stakeholder perception, and community engagement.
•    Translate CSI and education outcomes into clear, insight-led narratives for leadership, demonstrating both societal value and brand equity impact.

Purpose-driven culture

•    Foster a culture that connects brand, purpose, and performance, encouraging curiosity, accountability, and a deep understanding of Investec’s role in society.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

•    Relevant degree with 6–8 years’ experience in brand, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
•    Proven experience in senior brand or marketing roles, with a strong track record in developing and executing integrated brand strategies
•    Demonstrated experience in CSI, sustainability, ESG, or education-focused initiatives, with the ability to translate purpose-led impact into credible and compelling brand narratives.

Data Engineer (13352)

Description


The Credit Risk Tech team develops and maintains technology solutions that help financial institutions assess, monitor, and manage credit risk. This role involves working closely with risk stakeholders to build tools, models, and systems that evaluate borrowers’ creditworthiness, automate credit assessments, ensure regulatory compliance, and support decision-making through data integration and analytics.

The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data architecture and infrastructure necessary for effective data processing and analysis.  This role involves collaborating with data analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that data is accessible, reliable, and optimised for use in various applications.

The candidate will be required to deliver to all stages of the data engineering process – data ingestion, transformation, data modelling and data warehousing, and build self-service data products. The role is a mix of Azure cloud delivery and on-prem (SQL) development. Ultimately all on-prem will be migrated to cloud and decommissioned – but we are only part way along that journey.

Key responsibilities include:

•    Work closely with end-users and Data Analysts to understand the business and their data requirements

The New Business Developer is responsible for originating and converting new business clients for Investec Business & Commercial Banking through a disciplined, solution-led acquisitions approach.

Description

Investec Sandton is looking for an QA Automation Engineer who will be responsible for the testing and support of our Transaction monitoring applications. This will include functional, non-functional and regression testing; maintaining existing tests and writing new automated tests. The role entails working closely with the engineering agile teams and stakeholders to help build a world class test automation framework and tooling to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality code as well as be willing to write code and trouble shoot across the application. Other responsibilities will include maintenance, and technical support of our applications and batches. As a QA Engineer you would be required to be an active voice about test automation and continuous delivery, fostering the automation mindset across the team.

Front-End Engineer
A front-end engineer who sets the standard for how we build – owning MFE architecture, front-end engineering practices, and the quality of client-facing experiences across our platform. This role spans the full development life cycle and works closely with product teams, UX/UI Designers, and engineering colleagues to develop and maintain rich, interactive applications across the platform, helping users manage their data and processes effectively.

•    Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright, with experience across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing and a strong understanding of CI-friendly quality practices. 
•    Authentication patterns in a backend-for-frontend (BFF) architecture, and typed API client contracts, supported by secure front-end engineering awareness and good practice around dependency management. 
•    Strong communicator; accountable for full-lifecycle delivery, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
•    Agile/lean mindset, client-first values, and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to contribute effectively within modern delivery and DevOps-oriented teams.

Any other attributes that would be helpful, but not essential for the role.    

•    Shared component library governance (versioning, deprecation, changelogs), with an appreciation for release hygiene and the discipline needed to support shared assets at platform scale.
•    Cloudflare Workers or edge asset delivery, alongside broader cloud and delivery exposure, including CDN and edge delivery concepts.
•    Azure DevOps multi-stage pipelines, with experience working in CI/CD environments and an understanding of practices such as feature flags and incremental rollout.
•    Some exposure to backend development (we use .NET / C#) sufficient to debug integration issues and support smooth end-to-end delivery across front-end and back-end services.
•    Experience with component testing frameworks and methodologies
•    Financial services experience (banking or investments), with an understanding of the standards, pace, and client expectations typical of the sector.
•    SSR knowledge and its trade-offs in a shell/MFE context, alongside a broader understanding of rendering strategies and front-end performance patterns.
•    Other front-end frameworks (Angular, Svelte, Vue), with curiosity about the wider front-end ecosystem and the ability to assess where alternative approaches may be useful.
•    Awareness of micro-frontends and Module Federation would be beneficial, though this is not essential.
•    WCAG auditing and assistive technology testing, supporting a deeper practical understanding of accessibility beyond implementation alone.
•    Analytics instrumentation and event-driven tracking, with an appreciation for measuring user behaviour and informing product decisions.
•    Comfortable delivering to tight deadlines without compromising on quality, and able to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
•    Strong analytical skills – able to break down complex problems into component parts to evaluate and design solutions, with the diagnostic ability to deconstruct complex ideas and issues into a clear basis for solution development.

Team Lead – Brand Experience Management (Group Marketing) (13359)

Role Description

Investec is seeking an experienced events individual to lead a team of brand experience managers within Group Marketing who are responsible for all Head office, Group and Central Services events. This leader will hold a portfolio of events themselves, in addition to building and managing a team of colleagues to plan, organise and execute successful events aligned to the business and group goals and objectives. They will be required to work alongside and with the Brand Experience Team Leads within the business units, and be an integral part of the events community, to drive strategic thinking, creativity and innovation into the execution of events to ensure there is a consistent approach in delivering all events.


Responsibilities:

• Team leadership: Lead and mentor the events team, provide deep innovation and creativity to enable the execution of the events. Ensure collaboration and growth of the team to ensure aligned performance.
• Alignment: Assist with overall alignment of the day-to-day eventing activities to ensure efficiencies: relationships with vendors, sponsors, partners, stakeholders; risk management; post-event evaluation; consolidated budgeting.
• Conceptualise: Fresh and distinctive ideas, based on our Out of the Ordinary positioning, for events and all general marketing activations.
• Project manage: Co-ordinate all marketing events at group and ensure all are aligned to the Investec brand.
• Reporting and budget control: Ensure full reporting on all events, from operations report, budgets, insights and measurement. Monthly reporting on number of events, budgets spend as well as quarterly feedback on alignment to strategy.
• Brand Experience Community: Be an integral part of the broader events community to drive strategy, aligned thinking, brand consistency and drive innovation.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in managing and executing successful events in a leadership role
• Experience in forecasting and budget control
• Well versed in all Microsoft Office suite applications
• Knowledge of Cvent as an eventing tool would be valuable
• High attention to detail, as well as analytical and creative thinking
• Strong team player and experience in managing and leading others
• High levels of creativity and delivery orientation, focused on creating exceptional experience for staff and clients
• Passion for marketing, specifically the importance of eventing in the delivery of Out of the Ordinary experiences.
