ABOUT YOU

Minimum Requirements

  • NQF Level 7 qualification in Marketing or related discipline
  • Proven experience executing marketing and communication activities in a multi-site or healthcare environment

Our Therapy Group Practice at Nurture Hillandale in Bloemfontein is looking for a Physiotherapist to join their team. Nurture Health provides medical care, and acute and sub-acute rehabilitation treatment for people with a wide range of disabilities caused by disease or injuries. These include spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, neurological disorders, orthopaedic conditions, and other debilitating conditions and illnesses. Our organisation helps people who have become physically or cognitively impaired with the means to lead meaningful lives, regardless of any disability they may have acquired or circumstances they are returning to.


REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING

  • Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Current HPSCA registration and malpractice insurance
  • Up to date CPD status
  • >5 years’ experience in a rehabilitation environment
  • Special interest / expertise within neurology and orthopaedics

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Provide physiotherapy interventions to patients referred to the facility.
  • Determine clinical diagnosis and provide physiotherapy treatment plan indicated as an autonomous practitioner.

As an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary (ENA), you’ll support our nursing and therapy teams to deliver high-quality care in an acute and sub-acute rehabilitation setting. Working under the direction of a Registered/Professional Nurse, you’ll help patients with daily activities, monitor their progress and contribute to a safe, dignified environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with activities of daily living (hygiene, feeding, mobility/positioning, elimination, pressure care).
  • Take and record vital signs, blood glucose, and fluid balances; promptly escalate concerns.
  • Support wound care, basic dressings (within scope), specimen collection and simple procedures as delegated.
  • Prepare beds/wards, maintain infection prevention & control standards (PPE, cleaning of equipment).
  • Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges; provide patient and family support and orientation.
  • Document care accurately and timeously in line with policy; safeguard patient privacy and dignity.
