Admin Officer: Material Management
Purpose of Position:To provide an effective and sufficient administrative support service to the department.
Requirements:Grade 12 with Mathematics
Required Experience:Experience in pathology laboratory environment, Knowledge: Google and Google Mail, Knowledge: Meditech system, Knowledge: MS Excel, Knowledge: MS Word
Key Responsibilities:Coordinate MM and General facilities Maintenance, Maintain good client relations in order to promote the image of Ampath, Perform ad hoc support in accordance with departmental requirements, Perform and coordinate all administration tasks related to MCC (Medical Control Council) products, Perform and coordinate all administration tasks related to new and existing products from current and potential Suppliers, Perform and coordinate MM Helpdesk administration tasks to ensure the effective functioning of processes and service delivery
Case Management Officer – NRL Genetics
Purpose of Position:To inform and request permission from referring doctors and patients to perform appropriate
additional / “add-on” tests not initially requested. To ensure authorisation is obtained from the
patient’s medical scheme before the laboratory performs a specialist test or service that requires medical scheme authorisation. To ensure that the correct ICD-10 code is captured on the Ampath requisition form.
Requirements:Admin, Finance or Accounting related qualification (Required), Grade 12 with Mathematics and Accounting (Required)
Required Experience:1 year’s Debtors experience or medical aid claims experience preferred, 3-5 years’ customer service experience, 3–5 years’ experience in a Medical environment
Key Responsibilities:Assist Ampath debtors department with funder rejections and resolution of billing issues related to genetic tests., Assist with additional administrative duties within the department, as needed., Compile patient invoices and quotations for genetics services and tests as requested (including overseas testing)., Compile reports to provide the necessary management tools., Contacting clinicians or patients for additional information or documentation that may be required for specific genetic tests (including arrangements for patient rebleeds)., Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath., Perform administrative duties to ensure client and patient satisfaction, improve turnover and limit bad debt.
Project Coordinator: Clients and Kit Building (ACT)
Purpose of Position:To coordinate the day to day clinical trial-related tasks within the Clinical Trials Department. To prepare lab kits timeously, stock management and assist with general administrative duties within the department.
Requirements:Grade 12 (Required), Relevant GCP, GLP or GCLP certification (Required)
Required Experience:1 year general work experience within a Clinical Trial environment
Key Responsibilities:Archive documents to ensure effective storage and retrieval of data., Handle patient reports and administration to ensure effective and correct reporting of patient data., Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath., Monitoring of ACT fridge, freezer and room monitoring system to ensure compliance with storage temperature requirements., Perform any additional request or tasks allocated if and when necessary to ensure workflow requirements are met., Perform general stock management tasks to ensure effective control over stock in storage., Prepare for raw data audits to ensure timeous availability of raw data., Prepare laboratory kits and supplies to Investigators to ensure kits are accurate and compliant to relevant requirements., Re-ordering of supplies to investigator sites to ensure that correct supplies are delivered to the investigator’ site within prescribed timeframes.
