LEARNER FACILITATOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT related discipline (or equivalent)
    • Technical IT qualification such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert (or similar)
    • Proven track record of successfully leading IT services in educational establishments, with an understanding of the unique IT requirements for learning management, safeguarding and educational technology tools preferred
    • Leading IT services across multi-site organisations, with a mixture of in-house and contracted network management
    • Analysis, implementation and evaluation of business needs and the ability to measure successes and adapt accordingly.
    • Experience of leading and managing organisational/technological change including the alignment/migration of systems whilst maintaining stakeholder buy-in

Facilities/Estate Manager
to commence duties in: Term 1 of 2025

Only applicants who meet the following requirements will be considered:
● Advantage to have experience in an independent school context.
● Have a PDP driver’s licence, Code 10 would be advantageous.
● Must support the Christian ethos of the school.
● Proficiency in computer technology especially Google Suite.
● A Police Clearance certificate will be required.
● Handyman skills would be a strong advantage.

Key duties and responsibilities include:
● Responsible for the maintenance and security of buildings and fields, including opening and locking of buildings.
● Ensuring through supervision that all repairs and maintenance duties are performed satisfactorily.
● Maintaining required stock levels of cleaning equipment, detergents and disposables.
● Ensuring that the school complies with the Occupational and Safety Act.
● Managing staff and having professional interaction with colleagues.
● Inspecting facilities and equipment to determine the need and extent of service, equipment required and type and number of operational staff required and following up to ensure that the required work is completed.
● Working closely with the Sports Coordinators as to requirements for the marking of fields etc.
● Liaising with Contractors and Suppliers on projects and quotes.
● Management and reporting on the Facility Budgets.
● Submitting a quarterly Board report.
● Overseeing the vehicles to ensure they are in a good roadworthy condition and licenced.

We are seeking the services of an experienced, energetic, and reliable driver.

The position is effective from 1 July 2024

The successful candidate will:

Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 5 years’ experience driving passenger vehicles
  • Code 10 License (Code 14 preferable)
  • Minimum Grade 10 (Grade 12 would be an advantage)
  • Understanding of health and safety would be advantageous
  • Experience working in a school environment would be advantageous
