Salary: R13 520.71 – R15 709.27 per month (basic salary excluding benefits)

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Ensure that all staff are well briefed on the daily duties, out of stock items and menu changes ● Ensure that constant training on menu preparation, health & hygiene is conducted with all employees within the kitchen operations● Maintain the most stringent hygiene standards at all times with all employees ● Ensure that all policies and procedures are properly implemented and maintained ● ensure that all meals prepared are done so in accordance to the function sheets and portion controls sheets & recipe cards as stipulated by senior management ● Regularly hold maintenance checks with the Management to ensure that no equipment breaks down. ● To plan and schedule preventative maintenance rosters and make
sure it is performed ● Ensure that an average 85% is maintained on all health and hygiene audits● Suggest to management any new menu items considered for the menu pack● Maintain a high level of food quality & presentation● Ensure that the Back of the House Department operates effectively and efficiently● Perform and report on daily stock counts ● Ensure that regular stock takes on all food, beverage & operating equipment are conducted every 10, 20 & month end, and verified ● Maintain all standards within the H&C departments of JCT, monitoring all irregularities pertaining to quality, service, and presentation of all food & beverage menu items ● Ensure the prompt and efficient service of all meals, snacks, functions and beverages to the required standards ● Be responsible for maintaining and helping enforce the agreed brand standards for each unit by conducting and managing monthly audits ●Assist with the planning and implementation of new ideas and menu specifications.

Appointment Requirements:
● Grade 10
● Certificate Culinary Arts
●1 year of practical work experience as a chef de parties within the Food & beverage environment

Core Competencies
● Ability to relate and work with people
● Ability to provide a professional customer service to different stake holders
● Good verbal and written communication in English.
