HR Strategy and Performance Specialist – Grade D2

An exciting vacancy exists at Corporate Office for an experienced HR Strategy and Research Projects Specialist within the Human Resources Division.

Key Performance Output

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Group Manager Strategy, Performance, Research and Projects, and will provide specialist input into the development and implementation of the People and Culture strategy; and ensure that HR plans, operations and management practices optimise HR efficiency (resources, systems and practices). The incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Identification and translation of current and future business needs into strategic HR priorities for the People and Culture Strategy.
  • Development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of strategic HR objectives and KPIs aimed at delivering business imperatives.
  • Development of models and processes that increase HR efficiencies and operational standards of excellence.
  • Preparation of Quarterly HR insights relating to operations, projects and efficiency metrics.
  • Collaborate with HR centres of excellence to optimise the execution of functional plans and budgets.
  • Provide input into annual budget planning process and ensure that the People and Culture Strategy is sufficiently resourced by coordinating budgeting and expenditure within HR on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis (including budget guidelines, forecasting and reporting).
  • Participate in integrated performance planning and strategy deployment i.e. develop dashboard for integrated KPIs and advise on goal alignment and cascading from organisational performance to divisional and individual performance.
  • Monitor and analyse Divisional and Employee performance and compile analytical performance reports to inform decision making.
  • Conduct and implement research projects: development and defining of scopes for research and forecasts aligned to the HR strategy, HR business development and other business objectives.
  • Development and implementation of project plans including monitoring, evaluation and reporting on ongoing project performance and achievements, including ensuring that projects remain within budget.
  • Coordinate HR Audit, risk management and other assurance activities.
  • Provide specialised technical / professional support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organisational objectives.

Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required:

Bachelor’s degree (3 years – 360 credits) NQF 7 in Industrial & Organisational Psychology/Human Resources Management/Operations Management/Strategy Management/Administration is essential.

6 -7 years’ Strategy and Performance Management Operational experience is essential.

Code B Driver’s License.
