Deployment, Transitions & Change Coordinator

Job Description:

  • Support the delivery of GSS People Services deployment plans to manage testing, cutover, benefits realization, governance, risk and stabilisation to manage a planned deployment lifecycle.
  • Run complex transitions from design and development stage to implementation and completion stage.
  • Define requirements and plan transitions and deployment lifecycle.
  • Document management, including managing systems and tools during transitions and deployment project delivery to ensure proper document management.
  • Through end-to-end project management, ensure delivery on overall assessment of go-live readiness and anticipated support.
  • Ensure a structured change management approach and methodology for business risks.
  • Coordinate and execute GSS People Services change management with delivering transitions and deployment communications, local training & engagement-related activities.
  • Identify and support the resource needs for GSS to deliver the transitions and deployment plan.  Including project resources (e.g. Capability Lead, Change Lead), business resources (e.g. Service Line Leaders and SMEs) and backfill requirements in order to deliver change.
  • Work with communication, training, P&O and OD specialists in the formulation of plans and activities to support the deployment.
  • Work with GSS PS Service Line Leads to ensure optimal Service Level metrics are in place to improve accountability, usability, value and relevance with GSS PS customers.
  • Work with GSS PS Service Delivery Manager to ensure governance of desktop procedures, Standard Operating Procedures are in place for all transitions and deployments undertaken.
  • Independently identify and manage both the dependencies and the interfaces between transitions and deployment projects.
  • Partner with Business Units to understand their local nuances, build into transition and deployment plans and ensure that they are documented as part of Global process.
  • Ensure that all deployments activities have a service charge agreement and are handed over to GSS PS Commercial team.
  • Conduct transition readiness assessments, evaluate results and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Promote GSS PS to current as well as new businesses to achieve buy in and support.
  • Interpret and communicate relevant policies and procedures.
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships within GSS PS, including with the leads and teams in scope for transitions and deployment.
  • Maintains GSS PS transitions and deployment reporting on status, risks and issues to key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant 3-year tertiary qualification in HR or Business management – Required.
  • A relevant postgraduate qualification in HR or Business Management – Advantageous.
  • Specialisation/ Certification in Project Management (end-to-end) – Desired.

Technical Knowledge

  • 4-6 years’ experience in project management (end-to end).
  • Minimum 2-years people management experience, demonstrating effective leadership skills i.e. performance management, talent management, work plans, coaching and driving deliverables as well as leading high performing teams.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the transitions and deployment of work/activities (projects) across multiple Business Units.
  • Experience of successful implementation of strategy/projects, demonstrating ability to bring project deployments to successful completion.
  • Experience in a global/ multi-national, vertically integrated group of companies of similar complexity.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient understanding of shared services and service management processes (performance management, service level management, customer surveys, continuous improvement, etc.).
  • Expert in MS Project, MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Advanced knowledge of executing process/systems change in a shared service environment.
  • Expert in presentations, and customer service management.
  • Advanced communication in English (written and oral), analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on detail.
  • Expert in applying project management techniques to ensure multiple transitions can be executed simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of project management techniques and acts as a champion for project management and execution. Develops additional project management capabilities where needed.
  • Proficient in promoting the value of integrated and standardised business processes to key stakeholders.
  • Proficient in reviewing Project team’s approach to conducting robust risk assessments, implementing mitigation plans and using appropriate standards.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in engaging with project managers and teams and reviews project documentation and status identifying best practices or opportunities to make improvements.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills in order to understand and develop solutions to transition issues and risks.

The Engineering Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) Artisan Electrician in the VUP area necessitates a suitably qualified incumbent who will be required to maintain and assist in the operation of TMM equipment and systems according to sound engineering practice and equipment specifications.

  • Ensure fixed, mobile and transportable TMM electrical equipment associated with hot work or live testing, installed or operated are suitably certified in line with operational standards.
  • Ensure that equipment is suitable for use in the underground mine.
  • Ensure that the maintenance and overhaul of TMM electrical equipment installed and/or operated or intended to be installed and/or operated is in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Align with planned maintenance, including the maintenance of relevant records for all electrical equipment and electrical installations in the area of responsibility.
  • Adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Ensure effective communication to relevant stakeholders to minimize production delays.
  • Upholding of safety, health and environmental standards to achieve ZERO HARM.
  • Training and development of subordinates.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Job Description:

As the General Engineering Supervisor, you need to oversee the maintenance and operations of equipment and systems according to sound engineering practices and equipment specifications and to assist the Engineer with design and general supervision of engineering activities in support of the maintenance process.

Similarly Operational Readiness is critical in ensuring safe production to plan through effective handover of Shutdowns and Projects to operations, and the inclusion of all Asset Management requirements.

This role will establish and develop a Shutdown Management and Operational Readiness Authority to ensure strategies, standards, best practices, and the latest technology are developed and implemented to optimise shutdown durations and to minimize ramp-up and return-to-operations durations, while ensuring zero harm (safety), and quality in delivery at optimal cost.

Key outputs and responsibilities:

  • Define the E&M Shutdown Management and Operational Readiness Strategy
  • Assess global and cross-industry Shutdown Management and Operational Readiness Best Practice and trends applicable to the AA environment.
