Post Description

Communication and Media Intern (in the office of the Principal)

  • Support implementation of media and communications strategy and policies;
  • Develop press releases, media briefs & packs, talking points and speeches;
  • Support the execution of communications plan;
  • Develop content for periodic newsletter, press releases and articles/opinion pieces as required;
  • Support in strengthening EWC TVET communications focal points;
  • Evaluate the success rate of every communication plan through social media analytics;
  • Creating content (written, visual, audio/video);
  • Managing social media platforms;
  • Building relationships with stakeholders and audiences;
  • Analysing communication effectiveness;
  • Coordinating events, campaigns and projects;
  • Conducting research and providing insights.

Knowledge

Duties

  • Provide administrative coordination and support in the Regional office:

Knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of financial functions, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collate financial statistics;

Duties

  • Render assets management clerical support:
    • Compile and maintain records of all assets including acquisition, disposal and depreciation;
    • Barcoding of new assets;
    • Inventory control, conduct regular inventories and reconciliation to ensure that physical assets match recorded data;
    • Keep track of condition and maintained schedules of assets to ensure optimal use;
    • Identify redundant, non-serviceable and obsolete equipment for disposal;
    • Preparing reports on assets status and financial implication for management and audit purposes;
    • Collaborating with other departments to facilitate assets transfers, disposal and acquisition;
    • Render clerical support;
    • Update and maintain supplier (including contractors) database;
    • Register suppliers on data base;
    • Provide secretarial or logistical support during the bid consideration and contracts conclusion.
