The National Gambling Board (NGB) is guided by its recruitment and selection policy to advertise vacant positions through the appropriate media, including the NGB website.

Application requirements:

The National Gambling Board (NGB) is established in terms of the National Gambling Act,
(NGA) 2004 (Act 7 of 2004). It is a schedule 3A Public Entity in terms of the Public Finance
Management Act, 1999 (Act 1 of 1999). The NGB makes provision for the coordination of
concurrent national and provincial legislative competence over matters relating to the
continued regulation of gambling activities and also makes provision for the establishment of
uniform norms and standards applicable throughout the Republic in certain gambling activities.

PURPOSE
The NGB invites unemployed graduates to apply for Internship positions in the following
disciplines, namely: Enforcement, Gaming Control and Marketing & Communications.

Enforcement – NGB/Int 003-2025;

  • Enforcement – NGB/Int 003-2025;
    Monthly Stipend: R12,000 per month
    National Diploma in Policing or Bachelors Degree in Law/LLB

Gaming Control (GCCD) – NGB/Int 005-2025;

  • Gaming Control (GCCD) – NGB/Int 005-2025;
    Monthly Stipend: R12,000 per month
    Three (3) years National Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Information Technology
    or in Computer Science

Marketing and Communications (CSRD)

  • Marketing and Communications (CSRD) – NGB/Int 006-2025;
    Monthly Stipend: R12,000 per month
    Three (3) years National Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Marketing,
    Communications, Public Relations or in Journalism

Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged candidates and those living with
disabilities.

The appointee will be required to enter into a twelve (12) months fixed term contract
with the NGB (non-renewable).

Employment Application Form indicating their relevant field of study from the NGB’s website
www.ngb.org.za, attach and complete the following mandatory documents, namely:

  • Comprehensive curriculum vitae (CV);
  • Academic transcripts/ records;
  • Certified copies of qualifications or Letter of completion from the Institution; and
  • Certified copy of identity document.

Failure to submit all the requested documents can result in the application not being
considered.

delivered to the NGB offices at 1085 Francis Baard Street, Hatfield, Pretoria, 0002.

Successful candidates will be subjected to Personnel Suitability checks and security
clearance. It is the responsibility of candidates with foreign qualifications to have them verified
by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). Feedback will be provided to only
shortlisted candidates, who will be interviewed on a date and time specified by the NGB.
