Job Purpose
To ensure that the mechanical workshops, administration section operates in a well-managed manner and produces a dynamic service to it’s customers.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Manage staff and productivity.
- Administer and co-ordinate administrative, clerical and financial controls/reports at all
workshops. - Responsible for attendance registers, time sheets, job cards and recoveries.
- Accept appointment in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (85 of 1993).
- Scrutinise all Councils reports, minutes and circulars from the City Manager and implement
required departmental action. - Review separate workshop yellow job cards prior to authorising the printing of pro-forma
invoices. - Monitor and reconcile charges to other departments and processing of adjustments.
- Monitor vehicle utilisation for the division.
- Responsible for works outside/stores and petty cash requisitions.
- Responsible for courier and office distribution services.
