Job PurposeThe Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to render an office manager service to the Chief Director (CD).

Key Performance AreasManage engagements: Ensure that the management support staff compiles programmes; Render line administrative support services: Develop and maintain systems in the office of the Chief Director’s Office that will contribute towards improving efficiency in the office; Execute research, analyse information and compile complex documents for the Chief Director: Conduct research and compile comprehensive documents (not linked to a specific line function) for the Chief Director with regard to issues forthcoming from meetings; Provide Support to the Chief Director with regards to meetings; Screen documents to determine actions/information/documents required for the meeting; Manage resources of the of office of the Chief Director: Determine and collate information with regards to the budget needs of the office of the Chief Director; Remains up to date with regards to the applicable prescripts/policies and procedures applicable to his/her work terrain to ensure efficient and effective support to the Chief Director: Studies the relevant Public Service and departmental prescripts/policies and other documents and ensure that the application thereof is understood properly.
